I was going to offer an arguement but my father advised strongly against arguing with fools.

**Are We Really Catholic Bashing?**

Yes, very much, especially some noted posters.

I go the Way of Our Lord Jesus Christ, thank you, in the Church He founded on Peter, to which He gave the authority to lose and bind and forgive sins and confect the Eucharist.

Whosoever goes against this Church Jesus Christ built goes “their own way.”

Worth repeating.

No, they split from the Pope. Do you know the reason?

Jesus said “Then he took a cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you.
This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.”- Matthew 26

Yet, you quote Matthew 15 and Mark 7 to in essence, negate the words of Christ himself. Talking about doctrines!

"There is no proof that Sirach was written before Jesus Christ showed up..."

fThree copies of it are among the Dead Sea Scolls all of which have been dated as havng been wrtten prior to the birth of Christ.

How many times have we told the non-Catholics that Christ founded the Catholic Church on the Apostles, the first Bishops?

Ad infinitum?

Small g on God?

Hmm — what foreign idol do you adore?

There is only one true God.

And ignore the patent falsehoods you are boosting on this thread?

Hardly.

One need not adopt your sect's particular doctrines to profess faith in Jesus.

The people described in this post are not missionaries, by definition.

True missionaries seek out those who have never believed and teach them the Gospel.

They do not cozen people who already stand up in church every Sunday and pray the Lord's Prayer into joining a new sect.

That doesn’t quite negate Jesus saying as well “Do this in rememberance of me” at the Last Supper though.

It most certainly does...Your religion has invented doctrine based on what JESUS DID NOT SAY...

Jesus did not say to turn bread into flesh...Nor did he say to turn wine into blood...He never said anything like that...

'Do this in remembrance of me'...Yes...To fill your heart??? No...Eat the bread and drink the wine in remembrance of Jesus' torn flesh and spilled blood...

He tells us there is no spiritual benefit at all from eating the bread or drinking the wine:

Mar_7:19 Because it entereth not into his heart, but into the belly, and goeth out into the draught, purging all meats?

Nothing spiritual happens when eating anything even if it was the true flesh of Jesus...There's no connection between your stomach and your heart/spirit/soul...

Your arguments are a joke and you distort a Bible you wouldn’t even have if not for the Catholic church.

You are even discounting the direct order of Jesus Christ “to do this in rememberance of me” with verses taken out of context.

I didn't negate any of it...Jesus did...

So whether the cup had real blood or not, Jesus says there is no spiritual benefit since it goes into the stomach and out the sewer system...

Did Jesus say to drink it because there was a spiritual benefit??? No...He said to drink it to remember his Crucifixion...

>> Catholicism... is the original central branch of Christianity and doesn’t need any help from you.

That’s cool.

See you in Heaven! I hope you don’t mind sharing it with us non-Catholic Christians. Because you’ll have to.

Y’all can have Purgatory all to yourselves though. :-)

As I said, wideawake, you are free to go your way.

And if there are any seekers here, be they of any religious persuasion, they are welcome to hear the Gospel.

Thanks for posting,
jodyel

>> I think that I will continue to pray that we all become ONE as Jesus and the Father are...that the world may see. It is our division and the fighting among ourselves that horribly damages the witness to the world.

Well said. +1
