If there’s no such thing as “Apostolic Succession,” and no “Catholic Church” before 300 A.D., why are there “bishops” (the Apostolic and sub-Apostolic Fathers) writing in the Second Century?

It’s fine to point out the media’s lies.

**Has the Pope Taken His First Steps into Last Days Apostasy?**

No, the following day after the interview he talked about the necessity of not performing abortions to a group of OB/gyns.

Did you see that?

He is not saying abortion, etc. is “okay”. He is saying that it is not the only thing, and not the MAIN thing.

The "MAIN" thing cannot be, without those of us who understand it, fiercely defending the lives of pre-born babies. Americans have become desensitized to the true horror of what "abortion" really is. No, there is no way to over-emphasize the evil of abortion.

The Pope was unwise to put it this way.

The wrongness of abortion and same-sex marriage are NOT matters of “Church teaching,” and need NOT be discussed only in the context of “Church teaching.”

The wrongness of both is knowable through an understanding of NATURAL LAW.

By insisting that they must be discussed in the context of “Church teaching,” the Pope has undermined the pro-life movement.

You’re attributing to the catholics the term “bishops,” when the catholic church did not even exist when the Scriptures were written. “Bishop” does not belong to, nor was it originated by, the catholics.

Yep. The Scriptures bear that out, and the "rapture" will be after the tribulation, and will be the second coming of the Lord. The Bible tells us so.

oh please....that nonsense sprang up sometime in the 19th or early 20th century....

Terry, you completely misunderstood what I wrote. I DO NOT see a "pre-tribulation" "rapture" anywhere in the Bible. I was saying that the only "rapture" of the Body of Christ is when He comes back at the end. If you re-read what I wrote, perhaps this time you will get it.

sure it did...the earliest Christians soon (in the first century) became known as Catholic (Universal)...they were therefore present in scriptural times...saved the bible, as you know it, for you....say thanks to the Catholics!!

If you are interested, here's a research project from several years ago where we summarized the Freeper views of how it all ends.

I am among those Christians who believe in a pre-wrath rapture (pre or mid trib):

Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. - Rev 3:10

For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, - I Th 5:9

For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: - 2 Th 2:7-8

God's Name is I AM.

Maybe you didn't even read Mr. Bresciani's column. He pointed out that the catholic church didn't even come into existence for several hundred years, although, no doubt 1 John 2:19 applies to those who would eventually create catholicism.

It's okay, though, because you and I will never agree. There's nothing we can do to change that.

Reuters interviewer to the Pope:

“Have you stopped beating your wife?”

With any news story, especially liberal MSM and doubly so for Reuters, VERIFY what the person being interviewed actually said and in context.

For conservative news sources, trust, but verify.

For emails with the latest incredible story forwarded by kind, loving, honorable (but all too often gullible) friends and relatives, VERIFY before forwarding them on to your entire mailing list.
