**I am not called to get along with Catholics or work with them**

Strange......I always thought Jesus told us to “Love our enemies, for even the pagans love their friends, so what good is that?” (paraphrasing)

Catholics have the truth as given to them through the Holy Spirit and the writers of the Bible and the first Apostles who were Bishops.

The English word Pope doesn not appear in current English translations of the Bible, so it is not a valid title using the above "logic"? the word Pope has nothing to do with the bible nor its teachings. Pope is what members of an organization (Catholic Church) call their elected leader.....nothing biblical necessary.

We cannot know the hour or day, but we are to look for the signs of the time:

But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. - Matt 24:34-42

God's Name is I AM.

Not aggrieved in any way....and no fight has been picked.

You must be born again of the Spirit and filled with the Spirit to enter the kingdom of God and some cannot bear that they are wrong. Rather than speak to deaf ears, I prefer to speak to those willing to listen and entertain the possibility that what I say is truth...rather than puff themselves up with pride about their religion and its teachings. Many members on this site have been laboring for far longer than I have telling Catholics the true Gospel and have been met with the same treatment.

If all Catholics want is what they already know or think they know, then what is the point of further exchanges? They already have what they want and won’t listen to anything further from me. Jesus did not waste precious time sticking around trying to convince the rich young ruler to follow Him. He said it once and the rich young ruler, knowing exactly what Jesus meant and what was required of him to follow, went away saddened. He loved his wealth and his lifestyle more than he loved Christ and was not willing to leave it for Him. And this is what I charge Catholics with. Your love for your church and your sacraments and your rituals and all else in this dead faith are more important to you than following Christ. How many of you would leave it behind to know Jesus and Jesus only?

Mark 10:17-27

New American Standard Bible (NASB)
The Rich Young Ruler

17 As He was setting out on a journey, a man ran up to Him and knelt before Him, and asked Him, “Good Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?” 18 And Jesus said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good except God alone. 19 You know the commandments, ‘Do not murder, Do not commit adultery, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Do not defraud, Honor your father and mother.’” 20 And he said to Him, “Teacher, I have kept all these things from my youth up.” 21 Looking at him, Jesus felt a love for him and said to him, “One thing you lack: go and sell all you possess and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.” 22 But at these words [a]he was saddened, and he went away grieving, for he was one who owned much property.”

Do Catholics hunger and thirst for Jesus and want to know Him so badly that they are willing to leave all, sell all, abandon all, and follow Him?

Thanks for your post,
jodyel

And I, for one, am sick to death of your namby-pamby feel-good religion that believes all good Catholics make it into heaven. If you are betting your soul on what the Catholic church teaches, then you will be horrified on the day you die.

let's see now, we can either believe the 2,000 year old Catholic Church which Christ personally founded, or we can believe you.......I think I'll play the odds and choose the church.....you should try attending a Catholic Mass someday.....couldn't possibly hurt you since they aren't Christian but just a cult of some ssort, and it might enlighten you as to what the Mass really is.

Nevertheless, the word “RAPTURE” is not in the Bible.

Loving one’s enemy and leaving him in spiritual bondage is not love at all.

We are called, even unto death, to preach Christ and Christ only.

God bless you,
jodyel

After reading the Bible perhaps a 100 times, and studying it’s contents for 33 years, I can say with absolute certainty that the catholic church is not teaching “the faith once delivered to the saints,” and not teaching what Jesus Christ taught as well. It’s a bankrupt religion providing the masses with false hope, and in reality leading them to hell.

Speaking of history, do you have the date (from history) of the founding of the Catholic Church

you'll have to work with the Gregorian calander I guess and come up with an exact date....figure out what year it was when Christ said to Simon Bar-jona....Thou art peter and upon this rock I build My church.....that should bring you right to the date!!!

How do you know what the Catholic Church teaches if you are not a Catholic?

Are you just taking this on someone’s word? Or believing something you read in a comic pamplet somewhere?

And Jesus and Islam share absolutely NONE!

let's see now....Jesus was God (I and the Father are one).....God created all things created. God therefore created the Islamists, Jesus therefore created them....and they have nothing in common???

I guess none of “you” can see that the “you” being discussed here is a collective “you” referencing all Catholics. But then, why would “you”? All of “you” just like to go running off to mods at the mere whiff of anything “personal.” Go blow your collective Catholic noses on your collective Catholic sleeves, and trouble me no further.

your immaturity might have shown itself there.

No one can address “all Catholics” just like we can’t say that “all whites” own guns, or “all blacks” live in shanties.

Generalities usually don’t work with readoning too well. My opinion.
