Religious Expert on Offer to Destroy Churches in the Arabian Peninsula: Wahabis Got Cocky [Russia]

Moscow, October 2, Interfax - Grand Mufti of the Saudi Arabia, Abdul Aziz bin Abdullah's idea to destroy all churches in the Arabian Peninsula shows "the extreme degree of Wahabi impudence," the expert on Islam, Roman Silantyev said.

The first person of "the most peaceful trend in Islam" again urged to aggressive actions against Christians. It evidently proves that official Wahhabism-Salafism is identical to the ideology of terrorists, who are in fact destroying Christian churches and their parishioners from Pakistan to Nigeria, working especially hard in Syria," Silantyev told Interfax-Religion.

He reminds that a Russian Orthodox church was opened in the Arabian Peninsula, in the Sharjah emirate, and appeals to destroy it are voiced alongside with declaring Russia, Islam's first enemy and beating Russian Ambassador in Wahabi Qatar.

"Wahabi leaders should mind that not long ago wars were declared for even more minor issues. And while we haven't got down to it we can liquidate all centers of Saudi influence in Russia, and thanks to God, it has been intensively realized in Russia this year. And it won't take long to ban Wahabi ideology in Russia, special thanks for it to various great muftis who are not embarrassed to speak about their true intentions," Silantyev said.

Recently, the Saudi mufti justified his suggestion saying that Islam is the only legal religion in the region and cited Prophet Mohamed's words that "there shouldn't be two religions on the Arabian Peninsula."

Why should the Saudi’s not feel cocky, they own the resident of 1600 Penn. Ave. Now who is going to stop them?

The Russians would love an excuse to knock the Saudis out of the oil business. Seems like at least some Saudis are eager to furnish them a reason for doing so.

At the minimum, if a Russian Orthdox church in Arabia is harmed, the mosques in Russia will be fair game.

For now that is.

In the end, those who profess Jesus as Lord are the winners, as the BOOK says.

I agree with you.

That may be near, but man will not know exactly when that will happen. We are told we will know by the events of the time.

Are we near? Yes. Will it be this year? Unknown.

Sen. Rand Paul is hammering his fellow senators for keeping billions in financial aid flowing to Egypt’s military — even as Cairo’s security forces massacre anti-government activists.

[by “anti-government activists” is meant church-burning jihadists]

Here's the passage at issue:
In the 1980s, the war caucus in Congress armed bin Laden and the mujaheddin in their fight with the Soviet Union. In fact, it was the official position of the State Department to support radical jihad against the Soviets. We all know how well that worked out.
Let's leave aside for now the insulting, utterly asinine, sickening, inexcusable use of the phrase "war caucus" to describe those (including Reagan!) who supported the mujaheddin against the Soviets. That word choice alone is almost entirely disqualifying for its purveyor to ever be president.

Instead, let's just look at a little history here -- because the ignorance evident in this paragraph is truly astonishing. One would be hard pressed to find even a single historian, whether right, left, or center, who would argue anything other than that the Soviet failure in Afghanistan was not just a huge factor, but probably an essential one, in the Soviets' ultimate loss of the Cold War.
