13-minute clip on YouTube...discussing Joseph Smith's moneydigging thru 1826 & his ties to Freemasonry, which Smith rose to highest degree in one day! Smith "lifted" Masonic thoughts & rituals.

Also discusses Smith's occultic talisman -- a so-called magic "Jupiter" talisman...meant to supposedly give power over people/women & riches.

This also discusses Joseph Smith's peepstone used to "translate" the Book of Mormon...A peepstone caused Smith to be arrested in 1826 for treasure-hunting [an illegal activity called "glass looking" -- which in that day was a common way of defrauding others]

"The Freemasons of the United States have, by tacit consent, referred to it (the pentagram) as a symbol of the Five Points of Fellowship. The outlines of the five pointed star are the same as those of the pentalpha or Pythagoras." (Encyclopedia of Freemasonry, p. 358.)

Here's an interesting account about one particular occultic symbol used in conjunction with the Nauvoo Temple:

"Charles W. Allen explained how he was commissioned by the LDS Church to build the leaded glass stars that encircle the outside of the Nauvoo temple. The plan was to remain faithful to the original design, so Allen commenced to put together stars that would be placed in an inverted fashion. However, Allen noted that on May 8, 2001, he was approached by three men from the church. He writes, 'Ron Prince, Cory Karl and Keith Stepan were in the shop this morning to see how I was doing and to take a look at the colored glass in the star sash. They really liked what they saw. Keith asked me whether, if President Hinckley wanted to have the star pointed in an up position, that would be possible? I said yes, that all I had to do is to rotate the sash. He made a recorded note of that for his next meeting with President Hinckley. There is some concern by members of the Temple Committee that the upside down star would be interpreted as a Satanic symbol which some cults believe in today.'" [Source: Charles W. Allen, Window Maker, p. 182]
