Homosexual Born-Again Christians: They Do Exist!
The Christian Post ^ | December 16, 2013 | James R. Aist

Posted on 12/18/2013 3:01:35 PM PST by James R. Aist

We should all be aware that there are many people who name the name of Jesus but are not helping homosexual born-again Christians become who Christ really wants them to be. I will not belabor this point, but I will call out these "wolves in sheep's clothing" for what they are, based on what they are doing, regardless of how well-intentioned they may be. Firstly, there are those who seem to have only condemnation, and no compassion, for those who have turned out to be homosexual. They are quick to point out the sinfulness of homosexual behavior, but seem to ignore the fact that God loves homosexual people and wants them to repent and receive the good news just as much as He wants the rest of us to do so. Secondly, there are the purveyors of "gay theology", who tell homosexual people that God approves of homosexual sex and that it is not necessary for them to repent in order to spend their eternity in heaven (3). And thirdly, there are those who teach the "gay gospel", saying that, although God considers homosexual sex to be sinful, he does not require repentance in this case because His grace somehow gives homosexual people a dispensation, or exemption, that will enable them to spend their eternity in heaven despite their sinful lifestyle (4). Many of the homosexual, born-again Christians have believed these heresies and will, therefore, have to reject them in order to repent and become the men and women that God intended them to be all along.

Don’t delete the thread. Looks like you have a discussion of sorts going. I guess that’s what Free Republic is all about.

The born again homosexuals should read Romans1:27-29.That should make the hair stand up on the back of their necks.

Thanks for a very well-reasoned and insightful post. You are a brave soul to post a link to it here as there are many who are utterly convinced that same sex attraction is, in and of itself, tantamount to the unpardonable sin (second only to posting a link to one’s blog) while remaining blind to the true nature of their own condemning spirit and hatred for anyone who disagrees with them or their political or theological ideologies in even the slightest iota. Of course, like all believers they are subject Philippians 1:6. They, along with the rest of us, can be assured that God, who began the good work in them, will continue that work until it is finished.

Among my friends and relatives are a number of people who are both Christian and have struggled with same sex attraction. Their perseverance is a marvel to me and a genuine testimony to the power of God. I imagine that if God were to somehow ran out of room in heaven, my friends would be more likely to have a place than I would.

All people want to hear today is that God is love. Yes, He is and because of His love -he sent His only Son to take our punishment for sins upon the cross. However, Jesus talked more about hell in the NT than He did heaven. God is slow to anger - but from studying His true nature within the Scriptures - I sure wouldn’t want Him angry at me. People misinterpret His love to imply that He accepts everything we do and that there are no consequences for our actions.

Mrs. Don-O,

I would like to ask you a serious question.

Why is it that soo many “women” seem to be OK with homosexual men?

Not for them, but OK with it outside of their lives.

Even among conservative women, they seem to find it “cute” or “entertaining”, I don’t know, but their acceptance is seen virtually everywhere.

Those that fail to repent of honoring Baal’s days will not find Yehova’s rest.

In Yehova’s word there is no mass, and especially no christmas. Rejecting the feast he proclaimed and then honoring a false feast on Baal’s days does not honor Yehova nor his son Yeshua.

Yes, the key is repentance and not actively practicing. If anyone os going about actively participating in sin, they are not Christians, they do not have Christ within them.

A men's group at my church is currently going through The Quest for Authentic Manhood by Dr. Robert Lewis. Dr. Lewis refers to 5 'wounds' that a man may experience as a boy. ALL of us suffer the 'heart' wound (ie: the Fall in Genesis 3). Among the other four wounds (nurture not nature), is the 'absent father wound'. Among the results of this wound are:

1. Anger and pain,

2. Extreme behaviour and addictions or obsessions,

3. An inner sense of lostness or incompleteness and,

4. HOMOSEXUALITY.

From personal experience, I can attest to the first three but thank God, not the last! Given what is/has happened in the West (ie 'Christendom'), 50+% marriages end in divorce, even among Christians, and especially the number of absent fathers among African Americans, it is no wonder the problems that exist, and they will only get worse.

I would go so far as to suggest that 'homosexuality' is in fact, a sexual addiction. One can see that from the homosexual lifestyle, the constantly changing partners, etc. Like alcohol to an alcoholic, sexual activity to a homosexual is merely 'medicating' the pain, often caused by an absent father (whether physically absent of emotionally absent).

Jesus just told me He wants you to knock off excerpting in order to get blog hits.

He says if you keep it up, you'll burn in hell for eternity.

The editorial speaks of befriending "homosexual Christians", yet there are some scriptures that may apply. The first speaks of befriending an immoral person:

"But now I have written to you not to keep company with anyone named a brother, who is sexually immoral, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner—not even to eat with such a person." 1 Cor 5:11.

The second passage speaks of rejecting God:
"Finally then, brethren, we urge and exhort in the Lord Jesus that you should abound more and more, just as you received from us how you ought to walk and to please God; for you know what commandments we gave you through the Lord Jesus. For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you should abstain from sexual immorality; . . "
"Therefore he who rejects this does not reject man, but God, . . " 1Thess 4:1-8

>> “The key is that the mind changes (metanoia in the Greek) the moment someone gets saved.” <<

The “moment someone gets saved” is at the last trump when yeshua comes in the cloud with his angels to gather us up. No one is saved before that. There is absolutely nothing in scripture that calls out any other moment.

Our salvation is a hope for the future, carried out through confession, repentance, and walkout to righteousness, enduring to the end.

Here is what the word says :

Romans 1:

[18] For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
[19] Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
[20] For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
[21] Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
[22] Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
[23] And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
[24] Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
[25] Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
[26] For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
[27] And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
[28] And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
[29] Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
[30] Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
[31] Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
[32] Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

Romans 2:

[1] Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things.
[2] But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things.
[3] And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?
[4] Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?
[5] But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;
[6] Who will render to every man according to his deeds:
[7] To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:
[8] But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,
[9] Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile;
[10] But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile:
[11] For there is no respect of persons with God.
[12] For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law;
[13] (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.
[14] For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:
[15] Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;)

Where in there do you see a "moment of salvation?"

It is a life long process of conforming to righteousness in Yeshua.

>> “Christ said you must be born again” <<

.
Yes he did but he was telling Nicodemus that his flesh and blood corruptible body could not enter the kingdom; it had to be born again as an incorruptible body.

That doesn't happen until the last trump. Paul also said the same thing:

1Corinthians 15:

51] Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
[52] In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
[53] For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
[54] So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
[55] O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
[56] The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
[57] But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
[58] Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

I don't know --- but I have been astounded at the numbers of women (I suppose they're straight??) (and they bring their kids!) who line the streets to cheer the drag queens at the Gay Pride parades, and who shriek with joy in the audience for the L.A. Gay Men's Chorus.

I don't get it, personally. And I don't go there. I stay a million miles from that stuff. But even Ann Coulter --- and supposedly conservative Republican politicians' wives, several Mrs Bushes, it seems --- are OK with "Gay" as an activist political movement.

It's odd.

Queer.

Baal doesn't have any days.

Baal doesn't exist.

All days, all times and seasons belong to the Lord.

Merry Christmas.

If Baal had no days, Why did the House of Israel get sent into bondage? Was Yehova wrong?

I believe that each of us is born with certain traits and proclivities. Alcoholics may be born with a gene that makes them more susceptible to alcoholism, for example, and that applies to those people who may be attracted to others of the same sex. We are all born as sinners!!

HOWEVER, continuing down those paths is a choice! We all have our sins. But we must fight the desire to continue doing them and pray for strength to defeat them. The choice is ours!!

ES,

Please read Romans Chapter 7 and 8 and let me know if your interpretation of these other chapters of Romans stays the same.
