If you must be a pure-gospels man, which is a bible distortion but I am working with what I have, you might note Jesus himself stated there was but one unforgivable sin.

Typically, the most vitriol is dispensed by people who are hypocrites.

Well said.

To: James R. Aist; All

hOMOSEXUALS dEMOCRATS rINOS,,, Okay....and SINNERS LIKE ME!
tHEY ALL ARE GOING TO hELL!

unless.....THEY KNOW THE LORD AND HE KNOWS THEM.
This is the mark of God ..the Holy Spirit by faith
in the Messiah. That HE.. Jesus, is who he claims he is.
Jesus gives IT to those who have true Faith that only HE can measure.

True conversion brings about fruit that is truly good, and is usually evident, but what I am also saying is, that external good fruit, doesn’t guarantee a Good “Fruit”. (unintended word play?)

A true conversion brings a turning away from, or just plain being done with a sin. for example, I quit smoking because it damages the body...the “temple of the holy Spirit”.... but I am not done breathing yet. I cannot judge others who still smoke as hopeless sinners.

I cannot see the heart of the homosexual but if they “smoke” in the church pew does it not send an example of outward rotten fruit? YES!

There are things that I think I am hiding from God. But, its not over yet, because I am still breathing. If I drop to the floor dead today, I know to whom I belong.

A truly repentant heart is a place where the Holy Spirit can reside and turn away a soul from sin. It testifies to whom we belong. But, see how I just stated an awareness and grieving for what I still struggle with?
I know one thing... Jesus is my Judge and His name is Justice.

I pray for revival and a mass turning away from Homosexuality and all sin.

Pass the whiskey hold the Marlboros for tomorrow My sin results in liver disease and Still a quickening to the judgment seat... I hate my Sin, but this hating DOES count in the Lords eyes... because His grace is sufficient.

Do not discount Gods power. Do not doubt the depth of Satan’s infiltration into the church.
Do not drink whiskey in the pews.

It is all prophesied.
See the book of JUDE as just one example.

I have strong feeling about this because Homosexuality split my Church.

This may be as simple as Jesus separating the Sheep from the Goats. I don’t want to be a Goat.

We are trying to use the language of an unrighteous world to describe the affairs of an utterly righteous God among men, and it can’t be pressed too hard or nonsense results. I believe the effort is meant well in a way, but that’s one reason why God says His thoughts are above ours. We can only frame some of them in symbols if we could frame them at all. Our mortal coil is too poor to contain full-on heaven. Even Jesus had to empty Himself in order to go into it.

I’d say the failure to notice that such sins are possible, have hamstrung the ability for Christians to minister the conquering power of Christ to people beset by them. We seem to see a false dichotomy between Christians who either say it’s okay (no it’s not, and it is a bad corruption of character) or that if you should commit the sin you are ipso facto damned (the promise of God has the power to override in such a case). And remember the sin of lust needn’t ever go to physical adultery, or buggery... just a look with an evil thought qualifies.

I think our churches are getting de-masculinized, as I have opined elsewhere. We should have tough guy churches! Not wimpy ones, while the tough guys go hang out in bars or cuss on their Harleys or whatever. What kind of reflection on heaven is THAT?

Correct, and if you read carefully, you will see that is what the article says.

Jesus would eat with homosexual Christians who are willfully sinning, in order to convince them to repent and stop sinning.

What you probably didn’t know is that the quotes I gave from each of those passages was from the Greek text as it appears in the Greek text.

Jesus also gave us directions of what to do with someone who would not repent of their sins?

Matthew 18: 15 If your brother or sister sins, go and point out their fault, just between the two of you. If they listen to you, you have won them over. 16 But if they will not listen, take one or two others along, so that ‘every matter may be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.’ 17 If they still refuse to listen, tell it to the church; and if they refuse to listen even to the church, treat them as you would a pagan or a tax collector.

Correct. This aligns well with the 1 Corinthians passage.
