Homosexual Born-Again Christians: They Do Exist!
The Christian Post ^ | December 16, 2013 | James R. Aist

Posted on 12/18/2013 3:01:35 PM PST by James R. Aist

We should all be aware that there are many people who name the name of Jesus but are not helping homosexual born-again Christians become who Christ really wants them to be. I will not belabor this point, but I will call out these "wolves in sheep's clothing" for what they are, based on what they are doing, regardless of how well-intentioned they may be. Firstly, there are those who seem to have only condemnation, and no compassion, for those who have turned out to be homosexual. They are quick to point out the sinfulness of homosexual behavior, but seem to ignore the fact that God loves homosexual people and wants them to repent and receive the good news just as much as He wants the rest of us to do so. Secondly, there are the purveyors of "gay theology", who tell homosexual people that God approves of homosexual sex and that it is not necessary for them to repent in order to spend their eternity in heaven (3). And thirdly, there are those who teach the "gay gospel", saying that, although God considers homosexual sex to be sinful, he does not require repentance in this case because His grace somehow gives homosexual people a dispensation, or exemption, that will enable them to spend their eternity in heaven despite their sinful lifestyle (4). Many of the homosexual, born-again Christians have believed these heresies and will, therefore, have to reject them in order to repent and become the men and women that God intended them to be all along.

You’re denying the words of Yeshua and of Paul.

Where do you get your ideas?

Faith only allows us to persevere in obedience. What else would it be for?

Why do you cherry pick Paul?

Show me your perfect obedience... or else admit you fail and therefore that other valid Christians can fail.

Faith is NOT something that allows your flesh to show off, buster.

Thanks for your confession, you are packed with sarcasm and vitriol.

Only you can know what you mean, if anybody. What is a pure gospel?

I posted from Matthew and from Romans, both of which agree perfectly. Does Romans bother you? It does point fingers, doesn’t it!

Faith grasps the divine promise of power to act righteously.

BUT, since none of us are perfect in faith short of “the day of Christ Jesus” its expression won’t be perfect either.

Ergo, sinning is possible. The only sin not possible, in fact, is the sin of refusing to accept the promise of salvation. Because that sin has been obviated.

Jesus can round ‘em up and head ‘em out like the best of sheep herders. You want to brag on your flesh. No will accommodate, and God will show you foolish. Weren’t you the one that made an obscene comment the other day? Not unforgivable, but it does break up your shiny image.

You are projecting your own vitriol onto me. God is angry at you for doing that.

You are reading those books out of your flesh. Not according to faith.

Both of you: do not make this thread "about" yourselves. That is also a form of "making it personal."

Discuss the issues all you want, but do not make it personal.

I would like to point out how in years past I got blasphemed from pillar to post, and complained, and nobody listened.

Now all of a sudden we have someone overcritical listening.

I’m making it about God. I don’t know about e-s.

Homosexuals and Born-Again Christians: It's an oxyMORON!

If you become a Christian through the power of the Holy Spirit, you repent of any sinful actions and you would cease calling yourself 'homosexual'.

What the problem is, is the thinking that someone who struggles with homosexual attraction as temptation makes them a homosexual.

It’s unfair to label them as *homosexual* as if that’s their identity. It’s not. that is a worldly mindset and worldly thinking, not the mind of Christ. It is not freedom, but keeps them in bondage to what people claim and they think, they inherently are.

Anyone who is a believer is a believer who struggles with homosexual temptation. They are not homosexuals first; homosexuals who happen to believe but believers who are tempted.

Faith is for salvation.

Yes, faith enables perseverance, but the faith is what saves you.

Jesus Himself told people that their faith had saved them.

Does your righteousness exceed that of the Pharisees and the Sadducees?

I know that posting to someone who has been booted from the thread is not permitted, but I did not know that when I posted my comment to him. I hadn’t read that far into the thread.

If you feel the need, remove my comment, but you do not need to remind me not to post to him. I was aware of the rule, just not what happened.
