How do liberals get away with fawning over the benefits of marriage that they see when they've attacked it for decades?

Fewer and fewer normal people are getting married today. Why are queers so anxious to tie the knot?
Gay marriage is ok, because gays don’t reproduce. The liberals don’t want minorities and white trash to have babies. It’s the Margaret Sanger/Planned Parenthood philosophy of population control— solving social problems by eliminating the people who are at risk for them.
Marriage used to be a social license to legitimise sexual relationships so that its consequences (pregnancy) had entities obligated to bear the responsibilities of.
With premarital sex (fornication, a major sin in most religions) becoming the societal norm in certain countries, marriage ultimately gets rendered devoid of meaning and importance, and the larger society will eventually collapse from the burden of single parenthood, public welfare advocacy and poorly parented offspring.
Marriage died when premarital sex became acceptable, normalised and culturally expected.
Ever since I was in college, I’ve heard liberals - especially feminists - disparage marriage as slavery, as legalized prostitution, as a trap, as antiquated, as unnatural, as a tool of male dominance, as a prop of capitalism, and every other slur that you can imagine. But suddenly, when gays wanted to marry, it became noble and sacred.
Because, being unwitting spawn of Satan, liberals advocate everything that is unhealthy and destructive to mankind.
Let me take a stab at this question.
Libtards aka Socialists are opposed to anything that has proven to be a benefit to Society in general. They hate the idea that people should be free, productive, independent and responsible since that results in a lack of dependence on Big Government which is the domain of Socialism.
The simple fact of the matter is that Libtards/Socialists bring NOTHING positive to the table. They are PARASITES that can only live off of the productivity of others. Their ideas have a long track record of one dismal failure after another. They only give lip service to caring about the human condition as evidenced by their nonstop corrosion of all things that promote family unity and cohesion. One need to look no further that the 50 years of the “War On Poverty” that has only succeeded to tear apart the family unit while not making one “poor” person escape the bonds of poverty.
Libtards/Socialists have diminished each and every facet of Society that they have taken control of. Be it our Education system, the Media, Healthcare and so on down the line. Under their control of our Government, they are working to devalue the status of Citizenship, our Military and our Constitutional Rule of Law, Liberty and Freedom.
I thought marriage was a penalty.
Don’t try to understand it. The liberal mind is capable of holding and believing two contradictory thoughts at the same time. Contradiction means nothing to a liberal. Truth means nothing to a liberal.
It’s whatever is expedient.
Same as the Military. .they have been against the Military...Gays in the Military is destructive to the Military. ..so they are for it
they are against the Republicans. ..if the tea party was destructive to Republican they would be for the tea party..but they aren't so its not
The two things are not necessarily contradictory to liberals, because they both lead to the same desired goal... the destruction of marriage as an institution.
And the destruction of this institution (and so many others) just futher leads to the empowerment of government.

Uh... no. They do.
Homosexual men can be sperm donors and have children through surrogates.
Homosexual women can be artificially impregnated.
And from the beginning of time, homosexual individuals have married heterosexual individuals and had children.
All the replies I’ve received so far have been good, but thanks for getting in there all the charges that liberals made against marriage before they openly went after it for homosexual unions. I’ve mentioned this numerous times on FR, but I’m a Christian woman who lived as a lesbian briefly back in the 90’s. I’m thankful Jesus delivered me from that way of living, which is truly hopeless. Even with “marriage” it will never work. It’s another of Satan’s lies that it will.
