"New evangelization" anyone? It can start right here. This is what 50 years of "renewal" has brought us. The rest is just a pipe dream while this elephant is in the room.

If the church wants to follow the Lutheran Church into a shallow grave, its free to do so. Hope they don’t.

While almost all German Catholics approved artificial birth control, the “vast majority are against abortion”

Well, that’s weird. No Pelosi or Biden equivalents there?

“most German Catholics disputed Church bans on birth control and premarital or gay sex and criticized rules barring the divorced from remarriage in church.”

IOW, they dispute ANY sexual morality. Anything goes...hedonism....no surprise, though.

(sigh)

The German bishops haven’t been doing their job.

Many are called. Few are chosen.

Well then, let’s take a vote and we’ll let God know in the morning what the new rules are.

The results will not be news to many Catholics, especially in affluent Western countries, but the blunt official admission of this wide gap between policy and practice is uncommon eand bound to raise pressure on Pope Francis to introduce reforms. Bishops in Germany, one of the richest and most influential national churches in the 1.2-billion-strong Catholic world, have been pressing the Vatican to reform, especially over divorce.

If the Catholic Church properly enforced its rules, it would still have about 250M members. Realistically, that’s what it has now, the rest are just warming the pews and taking Communion in vain.

Satan does not want his own church, he wants The Church. He’s almost there, and completely owns some denominations, but he will never prevail. Satan is instrumental in separating the goats from the sheep.

The new Protestants. If they don’t like it they can leave. Or have they just been willfully UNeducated to the Faith. Makes me think of Martin Luther for some reason.

If there's one thing that the Catholic Church is good at, it's "splintering".

Would you care to give a sentence or two of overview of those videos before I commit the rest of the evening to them? Thanks.

Yeah, Luther was an UNeducated Catholic as a Doctor of the church, Leo X a paragon of papal virtue.

David Wilkerson received a Vision in 1973 regarding the future of the United States. He published the book entitled “The Vision.”

“Wilkerson saw “Worldwide recession caused by economic confusion”; “Nature having labor pains”; “A flood of filth and a baptism of dirt in America”; “Rebellion in the home”; and “A persecution madness against truly Spirit filled Christians who love Jesus Christ”.

David Wilkerson was first known for his New York Ministry to troubled youths (Teen Challenge) and wrote the Sword and the Switchblade

I was the targeted age of that sermon in the 70s. It would be wise to heed what Wilkerson says. Jesus is coming soon.

OK, thanks, I’ll bookmark those and watch in the next few days.

I vaguely recall his name but not many specifics.

I revisited the Vision this evening. (I'm on Part 4) It is an audio sermon. You will listen to it in its entirety because it is so riveting and so now.

Then they need to find themselves another faith because the doctrine of the Catholic Church is not changing. Would be willing to bet that 90% of these cafeteria catholics show up for Mass at Easter and Christmas and that’s it.

The fruit of the Spirit of Vatican II: Dutch and Belgium churches in collapse and Germany full of this.
