Does A Parallel Spirit World Exist
TRC Magazine Facebook Page ^ | 2/5/14 | Chuck Ness

In today's technological age, it might seem silly for intelligent people to consider a spiritual world where beings we cannot see might exist. Oh it's fine to read books and watch Hollywood movies about the afterlife and spirits that roam the netherworld but that's all make believe, not the real world. In the real world we are taught that reality consists of what we can touch, taste, see, hear, smell, and that the spirit world is for those weak minded individuals who use religion as a crutch to get through the day.

However, what if I told you that scientists have concluded that there is a strong possibility that a parallel universe really does exist? Now, as a Christian I do not need proof that a spirit world exists, but it is my belief that God wants us to do our utmost to understand what it is He has Created.

That being said, the Spirit World is an aspect of God's Creation that we can only speculate upon just as Rene Descartes, the father of modern day philosophy did. Descartes admitted that God was the Creator of the world, but he believed that the spiritual world existed solely in the minds of men. So I guess the question would be, does a parallel spirit world exist, or is it just a figment of our fertile imaginations?

I would suggest that in order to properly answer that question, we need to first realize that God gave us a mind and the ability to think on a level with Him, if only we allow ourselves to put the silly notions of men aside.

One silly notion is that reality only exists within the dimension that our physical bodies....

If you consider all the invisible things going on around us in the air right this second. Thousands of cell phone, radio, TV, and wireless internet signals transmitting very real information and emotions, that are in turn having a very concrete effect on the world. All these things can take on a life of their own by influencing the way people see things and live their lives. All these these events we cannot see, but know exist, have a much different and greater effect on the world than we ever intended them to.

Also, imagine if you can, someone living 100, or even 200 years ago who could never imagine such technology that the greatest of minds of the time would be hard pressed to wrap their minds around.

Now, think of the fact that a whole world, where God and His angels reside with no wall existing to keep them from seeing what you are doing just this moment. Makes you think twice about doing something in secret that you think no one will ever see or know.

After all, God is always there, and sees everything you doing, and knows everything you are thinking. That is why we are told,

"every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord". Philippians 2:10-11

EPHESIANS 6:12

For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.

The scientists who talk about “alternate universes” would be quick to deny that there’s anything spiritual about them.

Fact: Christians don’t need any stupid ideas from pseudo-scientists to support faith in God and a spiritual existence beyond this one.

Fact: There is no scientific evidence to support the idea of an “alternate universe.” “Alternate universes” are in the realm of science-fiction, not science. They are the harebrained ideas of pseudo-scientists who are trying to discredit religion.

The spirit world must be like quantum physics; a realm where a completely different set of rules apply.

Well, not exactly, that passage refers to the fact that God has exalted Jesus above all. When He comes again, that passage will happen.

Yes your are correct, the rules in God's realm of heaven is totally different than the physical and moral rules of this world.

Parallel I'm not sure, but exist it does. We do cross paths. I'm not so sure it can be restricted to a geometry expression. To me it's more like something amorphous, and we tend to attract one another based on how tuned in our minds are.

Then there are the just plain old evil things that jump over here and make our lives miserable for reasons we most likely bring onto ourselves.

Interesting, isn’t it?

When it’s alternate dimensions, it’s cutting edge scientific theory.

When it’s heaven and hell, it’s ignorant superstition.

When it’s ET’s, it’s granted SETI funding.

When it’s angels and demons, it’s mythology and folktales.

When it’s the physical, natural, material world, it’s reality.

If it can’t bee seen, felt, or measured, it’s not *real*.

I guess that rules out the mind, intellect, emotions, will, appreciation of beauty, enjoyment of music, etc.

Of course the spiritual world is a reality. All you have to do is encounter it once and you KNOW.

Except that they can't know that for sure so they have no basis on which to make that claim.

Everets single cell photon experiment....proved that photons that are not “here” effect the photons that are “here”.

experiment recreated many times by others.

giving scientific credence to many concepts that were previously excluded from “real” science .

so there are layers of reality ....thats a pretty good explanation for many observed phenom if mental energy is in fact effecting the objective layer we all experience.

oh well

there is no scientific evidence to support the idea of an "alternate universe"

What about fractals? Shapes replicate themselves endlessly, both larger and smaller. What's to say there aren't other universes, infinitely larger and infinitely smaller than our own which we can't comprehend?

Isn't our cyper-existence a reality that opens the door to accepting spiritual worlds we can't see? I have an existence online that people who know me in our physical world don't experience as part of the "me" they know.

I have crazy quasi-beliefs. I don't accept them as 100% for sure truth nor do I discount their possibility. These beliefs involve contemplation of a spirit world, where people's spirits stay as long as there is reason for them to do so. It's the guardian angel of religious belief. I can't prove that's true, but can anyone prove it isn't?

Except that they can't know that for sure so they have no basis on which to make that claim.

Actually they have proof from our knowledge of atoms. Inside the article is a few paragraphs that speak to this. Their belief of other universes comes from the knowledge that there is space between the protons and electrons.

If you could enlarge the proton of a hydrogen atom to the size of a baseball, the electron of that atom would be about the size of a BB rotating around the proton ten miles away at the speed of 10,000 miles a second. Now if the earth were a proton and the moon an electron and the space between them had the same ratio that exists in a hydrogen atom, the moon would be 1,000 times farther away than it is now. I know, it can be a bit difficult to wrap your brain around it.
'''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''
So, knowing that all this space exists in an atom, many experts in the field of atomic energy have come to the conclusion that it is theoretically possible for parallel worlds to coexist at the same time in the same space, both passing through the other, unaware of the each other’s existence.

I agree, and that way they can lead many a young mind full of mush away from the God their parents raised them on. Just another way to deny God, but if we teach this to our children before they learn it from their teachers, we can head them off at the pass by explaining the truth to them.
