Well since you don’t watch him, I consider your opinion of him, worthless.

God is our father and he takes care of his own.

YOU sound like Obama...income redistribution.

The Bible says that to compare yourselves among yourselves is not wise.

I have great respect for the man ‘Wilkerson’ who ministered to gangs and prostitutes in NYC> In fact I used to get his newsletter, but he is dead, and I assume this is from his son, whom I am not familiar with.

There are a lot of preachers out there, however if they don’t get scripture right...I could careless what they have to say. They may quote scripture but attacking God’s servants diminishes them in God’s eyes and mine.

I have not heard Joel Osteen attack any other minister or his Pulpit, that in and of itself speaks volumes. As a matter of fact, Joel Osteen speaks a lot of truth, as God asks Christians to encourage one another.

“God is our father and he takes care of his own.”

Right on:

Hebrews 11:6 -

“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”

3 John 1:2 -

“Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.”

Evidently you don’t watch him, since he gives a call at the end of every broadcast to accept Jesus. Are you aware that the reason the Israelites did not enter the promise land for 40 years because of their ‘murmuring and complaining’ and that’s about all I hear over whether someone preaches the way they want them to. God is the one who lifts up and puts down, and how he wants to bless a man for that is his business.
Of course most of the criticizers here don’t want their income redistributed, but they sure want Joel Osteen not to have his. I find that hypocritical. I do not consider his money made from books and writing fleecing anyone. That is a God given talent. AS a pastor they take a salary just like anyone else, so get over it.

He’s a false prophet, but I mailed the religion admin and I never heard back.

Thanks Scott, and I think your scriptures noted prove my point about Joel Osteen’s ministry.
Blessings.

Please tell me you aren’t serious, you don’t have to dig deep to see Joel is a false prophet. He is misleading a lot of people. He’s working for a kingdom alright, just not the right one.

http://www.theblaze.com/stories/2013/04/09/is-mega-pastor-joel-osteen-really-leaving-the-christian-faith-to-launch-a-new-religion-elaborate-hoax-gets-debunked/

All of the hoax from April 2013 and the fake website was debunked and exposed, see The Blaze link above.

Obviously, you have never watched Joel Osteen, so your comments are irrelevant to the truth. I feel sorry for you talking about something you have no knowledge of, especially the Bible.

Wilkerson was killed in a car crash not long ago; the link I provided was his teaching on the prosperity gospel.
Christians should encourage each other.
But to tie faith into gaining materially; is a perversion of Christs message.
In fact faithful Christians will likely be persecuted for their faith increasingly.

I’d never even heard about him saying he’s leaving the Christian faith. I just use good ol fashioned spiritual discernment and the bible. I grew up with the bible, and I know it and I also know when my instincts warn me of a false prophet, just like Rick Warren.

You can look at his Larry King interview for one.

You could also look at his apology for the Larry King interview. Now he who is without sin cast the first stone is what Jesus said.

Maybe you need deliverance and it isn’t instincts you’re are having a problem with. The Protestant Denominations are leaning toward Obama now with the take over of church teachings through pre prepared lessons, maybe you should be checking that out.

Actually, the Bible calls us to determine if our leaders are “above reproach” 1 Tim 3.

Osteen preaches a common type of message that is not as common in white churches. It’s the “God’s going to pay your light bill” type of message. If you listen to a lot of urban Gospel music, you hear it quite often. In Osteen’s world, God lives to serve us. We are the focus of the worship. God is merely a conduit of blessings for us.

Nobody I know is leaning towards Obama.

I don’t expect you to change your mind, as with anyone who adores something or something, criticism is usually dismissed.

A lot of real pastors have spoken about this, but I don’t know if what they say means anything to you.

Obviously you don’t watch Osteen either. NO, he preaches that praising God, worshipping God, and loving God in your attitude and living with joy will bring you closer to God and his plan for your life, it is biblical...a lot more biblical than the ‘hell fire and brimstone’ condemnation a lot of men preach.

Pray tell me what does ‘white churches’ have to do with Osteen’s preaching, his church is multicultural, and so is mine...good grief! You sound like a democrat trying to find a racial issue where non exists. Osteen has a more Godly perspective than most TV preachers, if only you actually understood God’s word and what it says.

And here's something even better.

Benny Hinn does the same thing. NEVER thought I'd agree with Hinn on anything,b ut I was cheering for him on this one.

He doesn't mention Osteen by name but refers to Osteen's interview with Larry King where Osteen wimped out big time.

Benny Hinn Confronts Joel Osteen

There are worse guys than Osteen, by far, but I just don’t see him as a heavyweight, as a bona fide traditional Christian preacher. He is too far into the Prosperity thing.

He is not a traditional Christian preacher with a prosperity gospel mentality.

I’ve yet to hear Osteen preach salvation through Jesus redemptive work on the cross. I’ve not heard him preach on sin, righteousness, judgment, confession of sin, repentance from sin, the atonement, the things that get people saved.

He’s a power of positive thinking, pull yourself up by your boot straps kind of motivational speaker.

Sure, he invokes God’s name sometimes, and his messages are designed to encourage, but they are sadly lacking in the truth and we cannot do in us what only God can do. Osteen does a disservice to his hearers when he doesn’t point them to God but rather just tells them to change the way they think.
