Here is some cheery news. It is cheery in that the Congregation of the Doctrine of the Faith is doing its job diligently and that justice has been done and that the Faith has been defended. It is sad news, however, that any Catholic priest would be so wicked as to do such a thing.
We are pleased that the proper thing has been done, and sad about the sin committed which required such intervention.

Very believable
Vernon Meyer got himself excommunicated in Phoenix a decade-or-so ago for going through the motions of ordaining a woman into the priesthood.
He was the pastor at a parish I attended a while back; an unpleasant SOB.
The Church is better-off without him.
Concelebrating the confabulation!
Concelebrate hey? I’ve learned a new word for the old behavior of improvising.
the Ash Wednesday service I attended was entirely conducted by a woman. The whole Mass.
Homily, blessing the ashes, applying the ash, etc. Not a priest in the church.
I watched but did not partake in receiving ashes.
Sheesh....who, what, why, where or when trashcanned again.

You want to talk about wicked? Let's talk about all the little boys molested by untold numbers of priests. There is your wickedness.
Douchebag deflection post of the day. But thanks for notifying everybody, because this is obviously breaking news...here’s a hot tip for you...Japanese bomb Pearl Harbor.
No, the douchebags are the ones molesting little children and the ones covering it up.
Stop beating your wife.
Lardass.
Is like giant game of 'go fish'. Make Mongo sad. Mongo no play cards. Too tricky. Knows why called "fishing" instead of "catching" too. Makes Mongo mad!
“No, the douchebags are the ones molesting little children and the ones covering it up.”
You’re right - but none of them are in this thread, nor is the article about that, so what’s your point?
In a Catholic Church?? You should have REPORTED it to the Bishop....shame on you for not.
I was a Protestant for 59 years, and one thing I can tell you after a few years of Catholicism - there are more - WAY more - protestants attending Catholic churches than there are who attend Protestant ones, and there are tons of protestant priests, bishops, and especially religious (a/k/a “nuns”).
I don’t think disciplining a few who are “out there” in this way will get at the root of the American Catholic rebellion, which is massive.
“there are more - WAY more - protestants attending Catholic churches than there are who attend Protestant ones, and there are tons of protestant priests, bishops, and especially religious (a/k/a nuns)”
Please clarify that statement. I’ve never heard of a protestant priest or protestant “nun”, and the only protestant bishop I have ran across is some black preacher on TV that calls himself a bishop.
There are more Catholic priests, Catholic nuns, and Catholic bishops who dissent from Church teaching, and who are quite open about it, than there are Protestants.
Please cite sources to back up your ridiculous claims.
You are right.
I will call the archdiocese today. I have video footage of the event as well.
