t is wonderful to read the account of Kirsten Powers' conversion from atheism to Christianity. But that doesn't make her into a Bible scholar or theologian, and Powers has made some grave errors in her recent article on "Christianity's new look on gays."
She begins by asking the question, "Could there be a future where most American Christians support same-sex relationships?"
The obvious answer is: "Only if these Christians renounce the Word of God and the God of the Word."
But that is not how she answers her question. Instead, she writes: "If so, it will be due to the emergence of conservative Christians who say orthodox believers can support life-long, monogamous gay relationships without undermining their commitment to biblical authority."
This is a truly unfortunate statement, as riddled with self-contradictions as it with theological fallacies.
In short, the only way a professing Christian "can support life-long, monogamous gay relationships" is by ceasing to be a conservative Christian, ceasing to be an orthodox believer, and completely undermining their commitment to biblical authority.

Sexual purity needs to once again be preached.
The 60’s creeps have turned that upside down but it’s the only way to remain civilized. God wants men to love and protect women. What’s going on now will lead to more and more deep unhappiness for women.
She’s very attractive and seems like a pleasant(albeit very misguided) person with horrid political views. Eventually though, she will have to decide if she believes the Bible is truly the word of God or not.
This country has embraced the sick perversion of homosexuality as normal, that we go on to celebrate this sickness and promote it, and then we go on to create hate crimes or create an environment where people lose their jobs if they disagree with this sickness.
Homosexuality is a judgement on America she is a tool to further the judgement.
This needs to be pointed out consistently - homosexuality will not bring judgement upon our country; homosexuality IS the judgement. Romans 1:26 starts with “For this reason” and continues “God gave them up to vile passions.” “..men with men committing what is shameful”; so this is a judgement upon our society.
It also continues and says that they give approval to others for more and more evil acts. We see this today with our legislatures accepting homosexual marriages and the teaching of it as acceptable in the schools.
Note also that Romans 1:32 points out that those who approve of such conduct are just as guilty as those who engage in it.

Yeah and isn’t it something that it is liberal womyn who are pushing for more promiscuity and abortion then complain that they are unhappy? I am sorry for them but have no pity on them. They have earned their lives and may they live with their decisions. They earned it.
Many (perhaps most) theological seminaries were subverted by the same socialist academicians that subverted the universities in the late 19th and early 20th centuries with the ‘gospel of Marx.’
This resulted in many subtle shifts in Christian theology, many of which have roots (albeit abused and altered roots) in the Bible.
The general movement is known as the Social Gospel (social as in “socialist”), and it has resulted in a tremendous amount of misguidance from the pulpit.
The support of same-sex marriage (please don’t refer to it as gay marriage, because heterosexuals are equally prohibited from marrying someone of the same sex as homosexuals) is a part of that subversion.
Beware the wolf in sheep’s clothing. Yes, they often carry a Bible and speak in the smooth, soothing tones of the shepherd.
But they often do not preach the raw truth of the gospel, and they use the gospel, the church, and the Christian’s desire to be true to God and His word to push the socialist agenda on His people.
You may be ask, “What’s wrong with that? I know Christian socialists (or Socialist Christians) and they are fine people.”
We have the blood-splattered laboratory of 20th century as all the proof we need of the anti-religious hatred of the atheistic humanists. The Socialist Christians are only a step or two behind them with their ideology.
I remember an old saying “I’m all in favor of converting the town harlot but don’t make her the lead singer in the choir the next day.”
She may well be a Trojan horse but if Miss Powers’ conversion was real, she needs to stop commenting on these issues and be put under strong Biblical teaching for a while. I think Chuck Colson withdrew from the public for a while after his conversion so he could be strengthened and educated in his faith. She should do the same if indeed she’s a true convert.
The Bible has very explicit scriptures on the topic of homosexuality even labeling it an abomination. God’s word will not be altered or changed to make the practice of it as acceptable. Gay Pride will NEVER clear that hurdle yet the wilfull arrogance against His word will have a price to pay.
Ok, maybe this makes me a bad Christian, but I really don’t care what 2 or more consenting adults do behind closed doors. What offends me is that they insist on rubbing my nose in their perversions. I don’t try to rub their noses in mine; can’t I get the same respect?
Thankfully CA Chrome lost today; had he won we would all have been required to view “the kiss” many times and been expected to applaud it.

Pray America wakes up
Most of the time I cannot even listen to her.
I don’t know why FOX has such a love affair with this woman. She’s not that intelligent .. or intuitive about the goings on in the world.
I was amazed that she was on 4-5 shows in one day as a contributor .. but none of the things she was talking about made any sense .. all she succeeded in doing was poisoning the conversation.
In fact, most of the radical left who appear on FOX are there for one purpose .. to poison the conversation. It’s not for a second opinion; it’s to sow confusion. I wish FOX would figure that out.
Condemn the sin, pray for the sinner. (Cause I KNOW I’m not perfect)
When the two “consenting adults” claim the right to marry, are they acting “behind closed doors,” or demanding that the state reward them for what you think is a private act? Evil will out, as the saying goes, and consent to an evil deed does not make it good.
