Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

Let's face it. Bats are creepy. Most people don't like them, and, except for Batman, bats are symbols of horror and death in our Culture.

The Torah lists bats as an unclean winged creature, unfit to eat, and classifies it with the vulture and other carnivorous birds as non-kosher.

Isaiah groups the bat in with other nasty rodents as a place to throw our idols. In effect, Isaiah is saying, "Throw your idols to the rats and the bats!"

I will try to post pictures that are not "too nasty"! :-)

Come and Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.

Well, rodents by far are my biggest nemesis, but maybe from now on I can think I got that long lost answer to my question, why were they created :) But on a serious note, Let us pray, Let us pray to keep our hearts clean and free from any purpose that would cause us have idols to toss. Praying for the Peace of Jerusalem, for safety and security among this enemy upon them, for our nation, for our families and friends, for our persecuted hidden within the nations. Amen.
