Father Mark J. Haynes, 55, an archdiocesan priest and parochial vicar at SS. Simon and Jude Parish in West Chester, was arrested late Wednesday evening, Oct. 22, by Chester County police and charged with six counts of possessing and disseminating child pornography.
The Archdiocese of Philadelphia called the charges “serious and disturbing” in a statement Oct. 24. It said Father Haynes has been placed on administrative leave immediately and he no longer resides at SS. Simon and Jude rectory.

Hang on... someone posted an article/column a week or so ago about all kinds of debauchery and crap going on in the 60-70’s up in the northeastern diocese...
I wonder if it could be related to that?
The parish I belonged to in my childhood had more than its share of altar boy molesting as well as gay priests.
The justice system will take care of this. The diocese will help the victims financially. They have a lot of spiritual healing that the Church can’t help them with due to this priest’s alleged actions. People need to be vigilant for their kids with EVERYONE. Kids need to be told more about evil and fighting it dead on.
