Quite exhaustive and very interesting.

Of course, the Koran alleges that Abraham himself was a “Muslim” and helped Ishmael set up the Ka’aba. Among other fables.

"Since the Holy Bible indicates that Ishmael never settled in Mecca he therefore cannot be the father of the Arabs that settled there. In other words, Muhammad is not a descendant of Ishmael."

Faulty logic.

Ishmael...” will be a wild donkey of a man”

I couldn’t have said that anywhere near as well.

There exists good and evil.

By there acts against innocents - followers of muhbombhead are evil.

There is no room for debate.

You or me?

If it’s a lie, it’s an old one, in that the Arabs have been called variations of “Ishmaelite” way before the false prophet Mohammed came along.

Interesting read. I knew that the Islamists claimed that Muhammad descended from Ishmael, which given the 2000+ year gap between them didn't seem to be entirely implausible (with that big a gap you can connect anyone to basically anyone).

But I did not know they also claimed that Abraham and Ishmael themselves went to Mecca to set up the Kaabala, which is clearly spurious both Biblically and logistically. The distance to Mecca over the sterile Saudi desert is preposterous for a nomadic herder of grazing livestock. I agree it was most likely an attempt to give the new moon-religion some credibility by by trying to hook it up to Abrahamic monotheism.

Bookmarked, thanks.

The math for the impossibly large average generational age gap in the genealogies is interesting too. Islam literally does not add up.

Here is part of an article from a Muslim Professor.

I am Muslim and teach Eastern History.
While Mohammad, the Kaaba and the Islamic religion seems to be very well documented in religious sources, I regret to say that there are few authentic Historical sources of Mohammad and Mecca. Of course, New Age Historians have come up with theories including a story of communication between the Pope and Mohammad but these theories are unfounded.

Another excerpt
In fact there are more authentic Historical mention of Jesus than the more recent Great Prophet Mohammad himself.

Sorry if I offend fellow Muslims who think differently.

It is likely that what you say is true as Hagar went to the wilderness of Beersheba and that seems to be where Ishmael stayed.

Which is just 70 miles or so and was also where the Israelites first settled after their Journey in the wilderness and was a part of Canaan.

It is doubtfull if Abraham or Ishmael either one even got close to Meca.

Also if Meca was where Ishmael settled it would be an ancient town but there is no evidence that it even existed before 400 ad.

So who are the Ishmael people today?
