Catholic Ping!
Incoming! (:) I am wearing my helmet.
Bttt!
Me, too!
Orthodox Lutheran here. Thanks for the outSTANDING article. It immediately caught my eye because I am reading a new book written by a Lutheran pastor titled Gnostic America. He goes in depth on every single observation made by the Monsignor. Part I of the book is a slog for normal, linear thinking people. But the author insists that readers learn and understand what and HOW gnostics think, which is critical. I thought I knew something about gnosticism... but nope I was pretty clueless. It is amazing and alarming to discover how vast is the gnostic influence in our country, across the entire culture and throughout Evangelical World and seeping into orthodox churches as well...
The most recognizable area of attack just as the Monsignor wrote is in the Gender Bending and same sex marriage movement.
If you care to know more, check out the book here:

Thanks, Sally.
Looks like an interesting read.
The generations of heresy:
Gonostics
Docetics
Arians
Muslims
Zwinglians
The first three are now known by the final two...old heresies in newer guises,

A used copy is under $3
You left out Modernism, which combines the first 3 in various forms.
You might want to take a look at the book I recommended to Sally in post 11.
Have you read Peter Kreeft's "Snakebite letters"? It is an updated version of C.S. Lewis's "Screwtape Letters". You are almost quoting verbatim one of the parts in there.
I have read “Screwtape Letters” but not “Snakebite Letters”. Maybe I should.
Interesting that the article spends most of it’s time bashing the Protestants but leading the article is the crescent moon of the moon goddess Sin and the star of Ishtar goddess of fertility, love, war, and sex. All originating in Babylon. In 330 AD, Byzantium Emperor Constantin used this symbol (with slight modifications) while rededicating Constantinople to Virgin Mary. Interesting that.
Cathers
Even more interesting that a Prot would read a thread just to irritate themselves and make snotty comments.
If you thought that was interesting you will find this hilarious: That picture is the Crescent Earth. How is that for just hilarious.
Discuss the issues all you want but do not make it personal.
Mindreading is making it personal.
Open threads are not for the thinskinned.
If you wish to avoid seeing posters of a different belief system's opinions perhaps it would be better to stay on the caucus, devotion, ecumenical and prayer threads or avoid the Religion Forum altogether.
If you click on my name at the bottom of this post, you will see this concerning open threads on the RF:
Open threads are in a town square format.
Antagonism though not encouraged, should be expected Posters may argue for or against beliefs, deities, religious authorities, etc. They may tear down others beliefs. They may ridicule. Open RF debate is often contentious.
It requires thick skin. A poster must be able to make his points while standing his ground, suffering adverse remarks about his beliefs - or letting them roll off his back.
Members of religions which are as much culture as belief sometimes take religious debate personally. If you keep getting your feelings hurt because other posters ridicule or disapprove or hate what you hold dear, then you are too thin-skinned to be involved in open RF debate. You should IGNORE open RF threads altogether and instead post to RF threads labeled prayer devotional caucus or ecumenical.
