Pray for our American Heroes and Nation

Coming to You in the name of Jesus, Father God, we thank You for being a place of refuge and a stronghold for us. With the faith You have developed in us, we rest safely and peacefully under the shadow of Your wings. We trust You for all the things in our lives that need to be changed in order to come into Your perfect will.

Today, we place our Nation in Your hands by faith. Build this house and guard our land, Sir, we pray. There comes a time in any fight when we need to be strong in You and in the power of Your might. We put on Your armor, that we may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. We recognize that we are not wrestling against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. And so, we take up the whole armor of God, that we may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. (Eph. 6:10-13) And so, we are standing.

We thank You for the Holy Spirit. It is His job to convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment; of sin, because they do not believe in Jesus; of righteousness, because Jesus has gone to His Father and ours and we see Him no more; of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged. (John 16:7-11).

Thank You for answering our prayers for an awakening of our citizenry to God!

We bless You for each member of our Armed Forces. Give wisdom to their leaders as decisions are made concerning their assignments and give protection to those entering harm's way. No weapon formed against them will prosper with God on their side. May this time in their lives be a time of drawing ever nearer to You. We continue to believe that You are opening doors of utterance for Your Word to have free course among them.

We appreciate this wonderful salvation You have provided for us and for the strength You give us to stand and not faint. Amen.
