I was wondering about the effects of the collapse of the Bosporus on the Red Sea.
I think a likely scenario would be a tropical system holding together enough to rain out in the Zagros Mountains during an already wet year. One to three days of torrential rain, and the truly epic flooding lost nothing in the re-telling. I believe there is evidence of extreme flooding in that area ~6,000 years ago.

Gibralter did not collapse, the low land between Gibralter and Africa was overflooded and scoured away. While something severe appears to have happened regarding the Black Sea, the Persian Gulf is more likely, especially given that the Jews were taken away to Babylon around 500 bce, where stories from the Persian Gulf may have gone into their thinking and bible writing. Dr Eugenie Scott is now aged a young 70 years, and if we can go by her Facebook page is certainly alive and kicking.
Scott is a highly recognized & honored scientist, who calls herself a “nontheist” and has written extensively on & debated evolution versus creationism.
She agrees that terms like “impersonal” and “unsupervised” should not be applied to evolutionary processes.
Her biographical data does not tell us if Scott was ever involved in soliciting money from the public for any of her organizations.

Granted, though what started as a slow trickle of Atlantic water ended as a mighty flood, eventually filling the Mediterranean in a matter of months.
Geologically, as sea & land levels rose & fell, bodies of water like the Mediterranean, Black Sea & Persian Gulf filled & dried up, apparently many times.
But the most recent filling of the Mediterranean was circa 5.3 million years ago, which makes it highly unlikely to have been the source for various Mesopotamian flood stories.
Both the Black Sea and Persian Gulf did, however, fill in historical times, and could easily be the origin, especially if filling corresponded to hurricane or monsoon level rains.

The Red Sea is separated from the Mediterranean by the Sinai Peninsula, so would experience no effects from changing Med or Black Sea levels.
They are when they're part of the "chain of transmission" of the Torah from Sinai.
Historically, Noah’s flood happened. Many cultures around the world have a reference about a great flood. The interesting fact is that some of the ancient cultures in the Americas have stories of a great flood. It is said that the ancestors to these tribes came across the land bridge around 10-15,000 years ago. Logically, Noah’s flood had to occur prior to that.

The Dr. Scott [EUGENE SCOTT]I was referring to was a man, one of the first televangelists. He had white hair and always wore a different hat.
His wife, we never saw her face, had LONG black hair, wore 6" stilleto high heels and wore a FULL LENGTH ERMINE coat.
HE passed away a while ago. Rumor had it that SHE took over but I never saw her or heard about her.
Dr. Gene Scott. I watched him on TV years ago. Middle of the night for me. I think he was out of Los Angeles and I was living in NC at the time. Named one of my horses The Doctor is In. :)
I always enjoyed his teachings. I’ve got a Study Bible so filled with notes in the margins it’s almost unreadable.
