All who desire to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted. Evil men and imposters will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. But you must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of ~ the Holy Scriptures ~ which are able to make you wise for Salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. (2 Tim. 3:12-15)
FATHER, first and foremost I pray over my own heart. I must make confession that I sense a coldness towards people as we see, throughout our nation, the consequences of sinful living, deceiving doctrines, persecutions abounding, and everything becoming “offensive” because TRUTH is being rejected. Dear Lord, open my eyes, open our eyes, our ears and our hearts to your call. Set our feet back on the right path and give us discernment. Give us a love for others as Christ has. Teach us to consider others above ourselves. Forgive for our cold self-centeredness. Give us a love for others, give us a heart of mercy, a heart of grace and forgiveness as you have showered upon us all through Christ your Son, Amen.
Dear LORD, we pray for a vital and renewed commitment in our nation to the HOLY SCRIPTURES. Dear LORD, we know that many of our founding fathers were men of faith, whose purpose was to live in the FREEDOM for which CHRIST has set us free, and these freedoms are now being trampled on and giving way to licentious living. And through this living many are being deceived and hate is abounding.
We pray for our beloved heroes, fighting this hatred that is resonating among the nations, most especially against those whose deceptive religions call for a killing of the “people of the book”. Dear LORD, the enemy knows that the HOLY SCRIPTURES are THE ONLY SOURCE to make one wise TO SALVATION IN CHRIST, and to silence them is to damn many. BUT YOU LORD have vowed that THIS GOSPEL WILL BE PREACHED IN ALL THE WORLD as a witness to all nations, and then the end will come. Protect our heroes as they fight against this current evil in all its many devises.
And LORD, we pray for the Peace of Jerusalem. As the GOSPEL is spreading among all nations, may it increase once again from where it began, in JERUSALEM, to the PRAISE AND GLORY OF THY GREAT AND SACRED NAME. AMEN.
