Prayer for Our American Heroes and Our Nation

When one of them saw that he was healed, he came back. He praised God in a loud voice. He threw himself at Jesus’ feet and thanked Him . . . Jesus asked, “Weren’t all ten healed? Where are the other nine? Didn’t anyone else return and give praise to God . . . Then Jesus said to him, “Get up and go. Your faith has healed you.” Luke 17:15-19

Precious SAVIOR, Gracious GOD, we come as “one” joined together in CHRIST, to thank YOU for all YOUR BLESSINGS upon us. We praise YOU for looking with MERCY upon our lives and our families, our beloved heroes, our towns and villages, and for the GRACE given to remain steadfast in FAITH. OH LORD, we thank YOU for giving us hearts to believe. We thank YOU for personal healings, for familial healings, for heart healings, for soul healings, and for continued faith to believe in future healings. Please, may we never ever forget to HONOR YOU with a thankful heart and humble praise. Amen.

We ask YOUR forgiveness as YOU look upon our Nation as a whole, who at so many times in the face of terror and tragedy, come to YOU in prayer, asking for a healing upon our people, only to receive it, and gradually go our own way again. We look at how corporately our leaders have turned away from faith and have chosen the path of “selfish gain”, even as they covet THY GRACE and MERCY apart from THANKSGIVING AND PRAISE. OH GOD, hear our cry for repentance. We cannot petition a healing of our land without first turning from our wicked ways. YOU are so GRACIOUS, if our nation could only return to the FAITH that brought us here to begin with, to the GOSPEL that heals souls, to the TRUTH that sanctifies all human life, and to the GOD who is our FATHER, through CHRIST, we could be made whole.

Thank YOU LORD, for keeping us faithful in prayer, for it is the HEALING TOUCH of JESUS, and the WONDROUS WORKINGS of the HOLY SPIRIT that draws us to YOU and that provides us with FAITH HOPE AND LOVE. THANK YOU GOD for all YOU have done and continue to do on our behalf. IN JESUS NAME. Amen.
