Breaking: Bishop Receives Divorcees into "Full Communion"
Bishop Ángel José Macín (50) of Reconquista, Argentina, presided last Sunday a Eucharist in the parish San Roque, Reconquista, during which he re-admitted around thirty couples of civilly remarried divorcees into "full sacramental communion" with the Church, writes adelantelafe.com. The adulterers previously met during six month on Saturdays in what was called a "camino de discernimiento" ("Path of Discernment").
Macín justified his move with Pope Francis' letter to the Buenos Aires bishops, in which he said in September 2016, that there was "no other interpretation" of Amoris Laetitia than to allow adulterers to receive communion.
At the end of the Eucharist Macín distributed communion to the adulterers, while relatives took pictures. No reference was made to the biblical teaching on divorce and receiving Communion.
Pope Francis named Macín a bishop in October 2013.
Disgusting. But the Church is not wrong because this guy violated doctrone
That goes against the established doctrine of the Church. Either the doctrine was wrong, or this practice is.
This is serious. Looks like the pope-a-dope is taking the Church down the wrong path.

It also kicks the door further open for cohabitating couples and homosexuals to receive the Blessed Sacrament unless they remain celibate!
(not likely in most cases).
Exactly.
Prayers for Holy Mother Church.

“This bishop, and all those who follow this type of directives and actions, are simply apostates, wolves dressed in sheep’s clothing, who not only send souls to hell, but also profane the Eucharist, for which they will have to give an account before God.”
Yes, what about profaning the Holy Eucharist? Those priests should be concerned about THAT, wouldn’t you think so?
If she left her husband due to abuse of herself or the children and never re-married or got an annulment and then remarried, there was no impediment to Holy Communion.
Could you find a tabernacle in Rorate’s photos?
I couldn’t.
The Church in Rome - and its influence on parishes across the world - sure seems to be going down the tubes since I was 12 and studying Catholicism, as my mom had to take instruction as she wanted to sing in the church choir where we lived.
I still have our study text, “Father Smith Instructs Jackson”, which strongly condemns divorce, and points to Henry VIII who “sever(ed) a whole nation from the Church unless he were given the permission to put away his lawful wife and marry another, the Church denied him his request.”
Henry was eventually excommunicated when he engineered a divorce from his Queen and married Anne Boleyn.
Though now this whole history of the Church is officially being torn asunder. It must be a horrible thing for devout Catholics to watch.
Gosh - would that mean he interpreted Jesus’ words at the Last Supper to include everyone He was going to the Cross for? Blasphemy!
