It all happened in the course of one night, and it happened quite suddenly.
Last Thursday night, I noticed that YouTube demonetized my interview with a former KKK Grand Dragon who is now an associate pastor in an African American church, claiming it was "Not suitable for all advertisers"? Why wouldn't it be? It was a great, positive, redemptive story, one that the whole world should hear. Why flag it?
The demonetizing of this video was the first thing that got my attention, but I thought to myself, "It's probably because it has KKK in the title."
For months now, we had noticed that almost any video we had with "Islam" in the title would get demonetized. But when we would request a review from YouTube, some of the videos would get reinstated.

Google, Amazon, Facebook; these monopolies need to be broken up a la the railroads and oil companies at the beginning of the 20th century.
This is no different from a railroad refusing to serve a farm cooperative or meat packer because they wanted to drive those companies out of business, usually for a hostile takeover. The difference today is that Google doesn’t like their ideological enemies- Christians and conservative.

Google needs to be smashed with an anti-trust hammer. Also I would declare them a "common carrier" and then throw in civil rights violations for denying people freedom of speech.

The left is using its immense power to destroy normal people. First they silence us, then they throw us in jail for having the wrong thoughts, then they force the country into marxist totalitarianism.

Google, whick owns YouTube, is a private corporation.
We remain free to start our own video streaming service with phone/tablet/TV apps to run it, subscriptions, etc.
There already is GodTube. I don’t think they have any apps, though. If they did, they might have more traffic.
Google has >85% of search traffic. That's a bigger monopoly than many companies that have had American anti-trust laws used against them have had.
The "deplatforming" movement is well coordinated. In a single week dozens of edgy right wing sites had their hosting contracts revoked, had their twitter feeds ended, had their pay-pal accounts shut down, were kicked off youtube and facebook.
Essentially ending their on line presence. At least some of them can not find anyone to host them now: there seems to be a blacklist out there, maybe the SPLC is running it.
I like Free Markets as much as the next conservative, but they are a function of a working society, which we do not have at the moment. If we are not going to use the anti-trust laws to ensure some sort of equal access to the internet (which we are always reminded was built with lots of Government support at every turn) then we might as well just toss those laws.
The Communists were quite fanatic about not letting printing presses, Xerox machines and such into their countries. They had a "free press" but access to the tools of the printer were unavailable.
That's where we are headed.
