Some Catholics, under the mistaken impression that they are being faithful, have telegraphed the message that they will not leave the Church for ANY reason.
I said, ANY reason.
The clerics interpret that as they can do absolutely ANYTHING and still have some rump remnant that will attend and contribute. Hence they think they will get away with it.
Prediction:
Francis will make a move on something VERY big and VERY controversial (announce all divorced and remarried can receive Communion, make some other shocking Leftward shift in doctrine, etc.)
It will get everyone’s knickers in such a twist that this scandal will end up being buried below the white noise.
Amen and SECOND it.
What's you're breaking point, at which you will leave? Where will you go?
That new covenant came with the death and resurrection of Jesus.
Or it could create a schism in such a way that it will hurt the Church bigtime.
Hopefully at least a few more state AGs and the Feds will prove them wrong.
Maybe.
What I also see it the conservative faction getting stronger in faith.
The Vatican won’t care until governments stop forking over billions.
I do see the Feds stepping in before end of year is out.

CHRIST'S CHURCH, not the Pope's church, not the Bishop's church, not the Priest's church.
CHRIST'S CHURCH.
I went to 7:30am Mass on Sunday (my day off from interpreting for the deaf LOL). Father gave a very impassioned homily about what's going on in the Church. It was wonderful. He ended by saying (I'm paraphrasing) "The Holy Father, the Pope, is NOT in charge of the Church! The Bishops are NOT in charge of the Church! We priests are NOT in charge of the Church!" He then pointed to the Tabernacle. "HE is in charge of Holy Mother Church! Never forget that!"
Just them the Holy Bible.
Correction: Just show them the Holy Bible.
AMEN and SECOND it.
Will do.
Thank-you.
#Catholicmetoo .
We are to believe it and live it.
John wrote Revelations after many of the Disciples were martyred and had already written their Gospels or letters to reflect that oral tradition.
Yes, Catholics wrote down their oral tradition and protected it via the magisterium.
Let’s go to a higher authority. What does Jesus say about traditions? Will you accept this authority? What is Jesus saying here?
Pay attention to the words, substitute, sidestep, cancel, violate. I believe in the Holy catholic (universal) church. These words apply to all of us.
(Mark 7:9) Then He said, “You skillfully sidestep God’s law in order to hold on to your own tradition.
(Mark 7:13) And so you cancel the word of God in order to hand down your own tradition. And this is only one example among many others.”
(Matthew 15:3) Jesus replied, “And why do you, by your traditions, violate the direct commandments of God?
Catholics wrote, compiled, canonized, and protected the NT via tradition and the magisterium.
