John 8:31-32:
Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;
And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
Please. There is a lot more problem on the planet than worrying about a form of exercise. Get a life.
The subversion of the Christian Church may be coming through the vector of the divinity schools. The answer to that question needs investigation. I have a friend that is doing a documentary on the "God Business," who I will see soon. I will explore the divinity school question with him.
If I was in that graduation ceremony, I would have decided that when the alumni association calls my response would be a loud “Fxxx YOU!”
Baylor is a Baptist College? Please, not Southern Baptist! If it is, I just might go IFB!
For some reason I don’t think the Lord is terribly impressed with their pipe organ.
... they don’t seem terribly impressed with His word.
The racism and sexism has to stop. People can’t help what race and sex they are born with.
Wake up Baylor donors and tell the school that its either gay b.s. or receiving our money....you can’t have both period.
War on whites continues. Particularly white men.
Understand. But there are plenty of good Bible-believing churches around. If a person is a Christian they will find a church in which to belong and no one could stop them from attending church.
President Livingstone addresses Commencement prayer

Like many of the attendees at one of the May 18, 2019, Commencement ceremonies, I was caught off-guard during the Benediction as this prayer is intended to focus on the graduates as they leave Baylor University and make a mark around the world, not to communicate any kind of political statement. The prayer was not scripted by anyone within the University, and I am disappointed that it has distracted from a special moment for our graduates and families attending Commencement.”
Baylor typically allows a parent of one of the graduating students to offer the Benediction during Commencement, which is what occurred in this instance. We will review our internal procedures moving forward to ensure the Benediction is offered as intended at future Commencement ceremonies.

By the time they figure out the truth, it’ll be too late.
Blue states are seeing more and more areas where “straight white men” went on strike and left; look at the results. Nature is reclaiming those sh!tholes...
You seem to take personal offense to it.
Your problem..
Agreed. But really they say this about others not themselves. They are the more equal animals. It wont work. When the wind blows all house of cards fall.
That war has been a hot shooting war for some time in the inner cities and Europe.
I’ll pass on the TV. Been off cable for years. The $24,000 doesn’t include a free anything. No free car, free house, etc. He’s in his 60s, has Social Security, $2K/month and a few hundred a month going into a retirement account. The numbers are posted at every quarterly business meeting. We have 30-40 in the church. We spend more on missions than the pastor’s salary, with the full support of our pastor.
The point is that while their ARE preachers who preach for money, there are a great many who are not.
“The Western Recorder reported an average annual compensation of $55,829 for Southern Baptist church pastors in 2010, which also included compensation for housing. The average annual salary for a Southern Baptist church pastor, excluding housing, was $41,000 as of 2013, according to the job site Indeed...
...In 2013, average salaries for Southern Baptist church pastors varied somewhat within the four U.S. regions. In the South, they earned the highest salaries, $49,000, in Washington, D.C., and the lowest, $35,000, in Louisiana, according to Indeed. Those in the West made $28,000 to $45,000 per year in Hawaii and California, respectively. These Baptist preachers earned $35,000 to $50,000 in Maine and New York, respectively, which represented the lowest and highest salaries in the Northeast. In the Midwest, they made the most in Illinois and least in Nebraska and South Dakota at $45,000 and $31,000, respectively.”
