I don’t believe people on this thread are defending the statement. I believe we are saying that Kanye is baby Christian and we are praying for his success. You don’t seem to be. You seem to be waiting for his fall.
Superstar is what introduced me to the Gospel. I was about 13-14 and I loved that album. Still do. I read the lyrics along with the music and memorized the whole thing. I had never read a bible in my life. God works in mysterious ways.
Archie Bunker that great paragon of Christian faith. Lol!
How are you doing? I hope well.
You are right. Kanye is burning some bridges with this turn in his career and deserves the benefit of the doubt unless he gives us a reason not to. We should pray that God fill him with the Holy Spirit that he could be wonderful tool in Gods hand. Pray for a true revival.
its up to God to use who he wants and how...

Im no biblical scholar but I do seem to recall that Jesus used some seriously flawed people to do his bidding; thieves, murderers, prostitutes and such. Whatever you may think of Kanye you have to acknowledge that hes introducing people to the word of God who might never have had the experience otherwise. God works in mysterious ways....
And for the record, I thought God had won when I came to Christ. I wandered through my own personal desert for 40 years. I was a Buddhist right up to the moment I became a Christian. Really surprised the rapture didn’t happen immediately because I was the LAST person in the world that wanted to become a Christian. He has used me in so many ways, I can’t even begin to tell you. I was a worship leader and grew a church for 9 years. Cancer kind of put an end to that. Now, waiting to see what else He has in mind. Listening to Kanye West’s concert. Worshiping God right along with him!!
Scripture warns Christians, Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world. (1 John 4:1)
How do you do that? You have to study Gods Word, His way of instructing you. We also have the Word of the prophets as confirmed beyond doubt. And you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your heart.(2 Peter 1:19)
That was beautiful thank you for sharing.
By their fruits you will know them. How big will the group you saved will be on the Glassy Sea? Reread The Book of the Revelation. Do the the worship scenes sound like a Kanye West Church service or what? Think of what it must have been like when John the Baptist burst on the scene? The Kingdom of God is at hand.
What is your point?
Who are you to judge?
I fully trust God is using Kanye, exactly how God is using Trump. Both seriously egotistical people, working as God has asked them too.
West is bringing people to Christ and/or back to Christ.
Good for him.
There is a reformation coming to the churches.
Right you are. We need to pray for this new Christian. He needs our prayers and help to overcome all temptations and stumbling blocks.
Dear God, please guide this new servant of yours. Bless him and his family to be surrounded by those who will help him in his dedication, humility, and service to you. We pray for our brother. In Jesus name we pray Sweet Lord. Amen.
My point is that suffering is a part of life which God has blessed us with for our ultimate benefit. When we have suffering in this life it doesn’t mean that God is necessarily punishing us. Or that we don’t have enough faith. Or that someone sinned.
It doesn’t even have to mean that someone else’s free will is having negative consequences for us.
But Osteen teaches a variation on Norman Vincent Peale’s old schtick.
I do not believe prayer life should be used to seek a comfortable life but rather a life of dependance on God.
I loathe Joel Osteens kind of Christianity. His philosophy of Christianity is a mile wide, but only an inch deep.
CC
Amen and amen!
“Joel Osteen and his church of the all mighty wallet?”
No longer watch this phony ever since he denied shelter, in his church, to hurricane victims.
It’s my understanding that Satan was an Angel of God’s creation. He was cast into hell because of his attitude toward God. He will never be more powerful than God.
