A person comes to Christ through his love and the workings of the Holy Spirit entering that person.

1 word does not change that love.

“Hee hee hee!” thinks God, “THAT word wasn’t right, I’m off the hook! I don’t have to accept the baptism!”

Baptism creates a permanent “mark on the soul” according to contemporary Catholic belief. Once baptized as a Catholic, that mark can not be removed. It creates certain moral responsibilities.

1 Corinthians 1:10 Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment. 11 For it hath been declared unto me of you, my brethren, by them which are of the house of Chloe, that there are contentions among you. 12 Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ. 13 Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul? I thank God that I baptized none of you, but Crispus and Gaius; 15 Lest any should say that I had baptized in mine own name. 16 And I baptized also the household of Stephanas: besides, I know not whether I baptized any other. 17 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect. 18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.

There is no magic incantation that makes a baptism valid or invalid.

G-d is not moved by special binding magic words.

A child is the lord’s until they mature outside of the age of innocence, at that point the will have a chance to come to the Lord in their life. If they choose to do so baptism is nothing more than a ceremony where in they commit themselves as a public act to our Lord.

Their salvation comes for Christ and Christ alone and is achieved when they bow / submit and accept Him into their life. His grace is sufficient enough.

I think it’s more important what name you are baptized in, than the pronoun used to refer to the baptizer.

The only persons that should use the word “we” is a woman with child or man with a tapeworm.

Mark Twain.

What about forgiveness? Why is he resigning? Forced out? The satnic church is gearing up and the Catholic church is losing priests.

I would caution everyone not to treat the Bible as a book of magic spells.

I would also caution everyone about treating traditional Christian acts such as baptism and communion as a ritual.

Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man comes to the Father but by me.”

We’d be wise to seek Jesus with our hearts for salvation and maintain a daily fellowship with Him. Baptism won’t save you. Communion won’t save you.

Repenting of your sins to Jesus for forgiveness and welcoming Him into your heart saves you. Living a daily walk with Him saves you.

God bless you all.

The problem with religion is that too many people treat it as a superstition.

Understand the original purpose and meaning of baptism in scripture and the catholic dogma that has added through the centuries blows my mind. For instance, illegitimate babies were not baptised unless the mother named the father during the middle ages. Also, as recently as the 19th century, no baby was baptised during Lent.

Such an obsession with the “community” in the post-Vatican II Church. The arrogance of this priest: I know better than the Church, I’m smarter than Her.

“”he incorrectly performed thousands of baptisms for decades by changing one word.””

Decades? And it came to light just now - why?

It is NOT some magic incantation. God is a judge of the heart.
BUT INFANT baptism is not biblical. It is ineffective because the infant has made no choice.

Act 19:3 “Then what baptism did you experience?” he asked..........

Folks,

Read the above and let your lips move. What baptism? A very good question for us to ask as well as what Paul asked.

Now go read it in context.

Read it slowly, repeatedly, and outloud and let God speak on the matter.......................................
