I first wrote about the topic of "Dark Matter" back in 2009, but it was scrubbed from the files of the Chico Enterprise Record Newspaper I wrote for and lost to history, after I was unceremoniously let me go. Well, I just found it in a file I was going through which someone sent me a few years ago. I lost the email address of the person, since I changed internet companies, even at that the person who sent not to me preferred to remain anonymous. Anyway, I updated this article with some new information and this is what I now have.
In their never ending attempt to explain away GOD as the Creator and Master of the universe, secular scientists come up with all kinds of explanations to convince young and old brains full of mush that we, and the universe, came into being by pure chance. One of those yet to be proven theories is the presence of Dark Matter. However, many decades and billions of tax dollars later, astrophysicists still have yet to prove Dark Matter even exists.
I first read about the search to prove Dark Matter exists when I read an article back in 2006 on space.com. I was shocked when I read the article that a scientist actually said you need to believe it exists. I thought, "Wait a minute, did I just read a scientist use the phrase, "you must believe that something that has not yet been detected exists?" to explain the existence of something? Sounds a lot like religion doesn't it? The article was posted in space.com way back in September 2007.
In case the article in question is ever removed from space.com's website, I have learned that the Wayback Machine is holding many copies of their article. So they can never say I am sharing false information. Here that DHS?
Fast forward to 2019, when I ran across an article at phys.org that claimed Dark Matter may not exist. Mind you, governments around the World have spent almost a $10 billion on scientific machines created for the specific purpose of find Dark Matter. Yet they still cannot detect it. So in 2020 it was reported that the scientists who claim GOD does not exist, but have faith Dark Matter does, want to build an even bigger super-collider.
""No matter what you do [in devising new theories] you're going to have to believe in dark matter."
You can read the article at the end of this and see their quote. Scientists tell us that Dark Matter is the cosmic glue that holds things together, and that we must have faith it exists. Well, for me, I follow the wisdom of God and the Scriptures tells me that the thing the scientists want to call "Dark Matter", is in fact Christ Jesus. It's right the ere in the Book of Hebrews.
God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds; who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, having become so much better than the angels, as He has by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.
Hebrews 1:1-4 (NKJV)
So, I would say that long before they came up with their theory, us Christians already knew we needed to have faith in the cosmic glue they call Dark Matter, but as I already stated, we call Him Jesus Christ. The problem is they are just too ignorant to accept the truth, so they needed to come up with a false god to worship, and one of those god's is now called Dark Matter.
Interestingly, every time one of these new superconductors get built, and they get ready to fire it up, a segment of our society believes the world will explode. Sometimes I am not sure who is fooled more by Satan, the people who think a superconductor can destroy the World, or the scientists who go out of their way looking for proof that something might exist but deny the existence of Christ. For scientists, Dark Matter is a label for a mathematical construct that theoretical physicists must use to make all their other equations work out. That way they don't have to admit they are wrong about anything. Yet, those of us who have faith in GOD laugh at them, because these so-called geniuses will readily admit that when it comes to "Dark Matter" they say you need to have faith that it exists, even though they still cannot prove it.
The same goes for Nuclear Physics who study the atoms. Most Nuclear scientists refuse to admit the existence of an intelligent designer (GOD). They readily admit that paralell universes can exist, but they refuse to accept the Bible as proof, and once they prove a parallel universe do exist, they will then claim they could not find GODF in it. So instead of just looking for a parallel universe, regardless of the outcome, they search for one where GOD does not exist. tI suggest that anyone who is in doubt of the Scriptures do a parallel study in the fields of astrophysics, cosmology, archeology, and genetic entropy to learn the facts.
You will learn when all the evidence from all the fields of study are laid side by side. that the facts will actually refute the anti-GOD theories. One field often times does not match with the facts from another field of study. This is why you never see top scientists from each of these fields of study in the same room comparing their notes to prove their theories are correct. Don't take my word for it, do your own investigation, "IF" you truly want to know the truth. Yet if you do, I promise the truth will set you free from that little black box, atheists have spent the last 150 years cramming brains full of mush into.
Let me be very clear that I do believe in Dark Matter as the scientist explain it. They tell us that dark matter is the cosmic glue that holds the universe together. However, I did not need billions of dollars, nor years of study to find it. I found it in Christ Jesus. Christ is what keeps the universe from becoming cosmic dust. The reason scientists have yet to prove their theory is because they refuse to go to the source to find the proof, the Bible. Yet just as they admit that a parallel universe does exist, they also admit, through faith, that dark matter exists. They just refuse to call it by His official Name, Jesus Christ. Trust me when I say that on the day Christ returns, He will stop holding the universe together. That is when true global warming will take place, because the very elements of the universe will melt.
But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up.

Scientists: You Must Have Faith, That Dark Matter Exists
(SPACE.com)
New observations of a great big cosmic collision provide the best evidence yet that invisible and mysterious dark matter really does exist. The collision, between two huge clusters of galaxies, is the "most energetic cosmic event, besides the Big Bang, that we know about," said Maxim Markevitch of the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The impact split normal matter and dark matter apart, rendering the dark matter's gravitational presence observable.Scientists announced the discovery today in a teleconference with reporters. The normal matter in the cosmos -- atoms that make up stars, planets, air and life -- accounts for only a small fraction of what must exist, based on the fact that without an additional source of gravity, galaxies would fly apart and galaxy clusters could not hold together as they do. Nobody knows where all that gravity comes from, so scientists say there must be some invisible stuff out there, which they call dark matter. Its presence is indirectly supported by many observations. Given what's known, this is the makeup of the universe: 5 percent normal matter 25 percent dark matter 70 percent dark energy
Dark energy is an even more mysterious phenomenon, a force of some sort that beats out gravity and is causing the universe to expand at an ever-faster pace. Some theorists have suggested that rather than invoking dark matter, perhaps existing ideas about gravity might be wrong. Maybe gravity is stronger on intergalactic scales than what is predicted by Newton and Einstein. And all astronomers agree that dark matter is such an exotic idea as to border on the crazy. "A universe that's dominated by dark stuff seems preposterous, so we wanted to test whether there were any basic flaws in our thinking," said Doug Clowe of the University of Arizona at Tucson, and leader of the study. "These results are direct proof that dark matter exists."
Splitting matter Clowe and colleagues used NASA's Chandra X-ray Observatory to study the galaxy cluster 1E0657-556, which contains a bullet-shaped cloud of superheated gas. X-rays show the shape was produced by cosmic winds created in a high-speed collision of two clusters of galaxies. Other telescopes were used to locate and quantify the mass in the clusters. They actually measured the effect of gravitational lensing, in which gravity from the clusters distorts light from thousands of background galaxies, as predicted by Einstein's theory of general relativity. The dark matter is not seen, but its gravity has a predictable effect on the observations. The resulting blue color in a new image represents the gravity fields observed by noting how the light from each background galaxy is distorted. Here's what the image reveals: The hot gas -- normal matter -- was slowed by a drag force described as the cosmic equivalent of air resistance. But the dark matter was not slowed by this effect, presumably because it does not interact with normal matter, as theory had predicted. So the normal matter and dark matter became separated. "This proves in a simple and direct way that dark matter exists." Markevitch said in the teleconference.
Other theories must cope The finding provides further evidence that standard Newtonian gravity, which keeps planets in orbit around the sun, is the glue that makes things stick on the largest scales, too. It is still possible there is some modification of gravity going on, but these findings make it less necessary to have such theories, said Sean Carroll, a cosmologist at the University of Chicago who was not involved with the study. "No matter what you do [in devising new theories] you're going to have to believe in dark matter." "We've closed this loophole about gravity, and we've come closer than ever to seeing this invisible matter," Clowe said. "This is the first time we've had a direct detection of dark matter" in which you can't explain the results with any altered-gravity theory, he said. The findings will be detailed in an upcoming issue of the Astrophysical Journal Letters.
I enjoyed this article.
Thank you. Considering my editing of it, and the new information I added, it turned out to be an article I actually wrote over a period of 13 years.
Jesus is often spoken of in the New Testament in terms of light, not darkness. He is the light of the world. That Jesus would be “dark matter” seems a contravention to what Biblical descriptions of him indicate.
Read the article again,
Scientists claim Dark Matter is the cosmic glue that holds things together. That is what Hebrews tells us Christ is.
Do not get hung up on the word, :”Dark” used, just understand that what they claim is cosmic glue, is in actuallityJesus.
Colossian 1:15-17 covers dark matter as well
He needs an editor.
I LOVE that section (exactly what I was thinking of). Thanks.
Doesn’t everyone?
Good point, I will add it to the commentary on my blog. Interestingly, I just checked and that passage is highlighted in my Bible with a reference to Hebrew 1:1-4
When I read Colossians 1:15-17 I often think of the strong nuclear force. LOL
Possibly “dark” refers to the invisibility or rather the inability to detect visually this particular substance.
I spel fin.

One thought on that perspective: In the Transfiguration, the glory of Jesus was allowed to shine through so Peter, James and John could see the reality of who He was. Maybe another way to think of it in creation is that his presence throughout creation is obscured so that man does not see Him and his accompanying glory. Interesting thought.
Indeed it does!
Well stated!
It does grate the senses somewhat, but the scientists came up with the term, which they probably thought sounded cool, mysterious and cosmic. But we know that God is Light, and as the creator of all things is not what but Who holds it all together.
That and other detection methods. That's why it's called "dark matter"... it is undetectable by our current science. It's all just some made up theory because the astrophysicists have determined that gravity is not enough to hold matter together on their white board calculations.
