A Watershed Moment In The Moral State Of Our Rapidly Depraving And Godless Culture
Harbingers Daily ^ | 1/3/23 | Rev. Franklin Graham

Just a few weeks ago, Congress passed legislation that codified same-sex marriage as the law of the land, certifying the 2015 Supreme Court ruling Obergefell v. Hodges that had already sanctioned same-sex marriages. Joining the Democrats in the Senate were 12 so-called conservative Republican senators whose votes gave the bill the 60 it needed to move it to the House, where it was easily passed by the Democratic majority.

This is a watershed moment in the moral state of our rapidly depraving and godless culture. To satisfy the incessant, sinful cries of the incredibly powerful LGBTQ lobby, the halls of Congress gave their endorsement to an immoral and degenerate lifestyle that not so many decades ago was a criminal act.

The deceptively and deceitfully named Respect for Marriage Act is anything but that. The senators rejected an amendment proposed by Sen. Mike Lee of Utah that used stronger language to protect the religious liberty of people of faith. As the law is written, it could threaten churches, Christian institutions and individuals who hold to the traditional, Biblical view of marriage between one man and one woman.

Marxists have successfully infiltrated schools, churches and goverment. And replaced God with The State. Hillary and her Marxist trope “It Takes A Village” stands out as one of the sickest things I have seen.

....”The slippery slope of moral compromise that we warned about for so long has now become a free fall into debauchery and dissolution”........The pressure on Christians from ‘ungodly leaders’ and a ‘depraved culture’ will only continue to increase.”.......

I disagree with Franklin Graham. I don’t feel any obligation to pray for Joe Biden or his Marxist cadre. One of the elders in my church each week offers a prayer for our leaders who he claims have been put over us by the Almighty—that we should honor and respect them and not oppose them. In other words, sit down and shut up.

So, Hitler, Mao, and all of the tyrants who have killed hundreds of millions were put in authority over us by the Almighty and we should honor them??? Really? How about the notion that Satan is at work in the world and that these leaders and the likes of Joe Biden are doing his bidding?

I believe my churchman is reading out of context the chapter in Romans that talks about leaders and rulers and our obligations under them. A number of theologians have contended that Paul is referring to leaders in the synagogue, not government rulers and that he is giving new Christians instruction in how to obey the Biblical law and honor the traditions of their Jewish brothers and the synagogue.

What explains the determination of the Black Robe Regiment of the Revolutionary War to support armed resistance to the British government? Were they as clergy disobeying Scripture? They were calling for armed rebellion. They often preached with a musket propped up against their pulpit.

I will not honor nor pray for Joe Biden. We need to oppose him through all peaceful means not subjugate ourselves to him and his immoral government. Americans are not slaves or helpless sheep or servants of the government. The government serves us.

Years ago I said: Make no mistake. Barack Hussein Obama is here to destroy this country.

Look at what has happened since he gained national prominence.

Now besties with the guy who brought us the 2008 crash.

Tagline.

It is climate change causing all of this deviant behavior. It will culminate in fire and brimstone.

I agree

God turned Nebuchadnezzar, but Belshazzar wound up reading ‘Mene Mene Tekel Upharsin’.

There have been so many of these watershed moments in my lifetime.
I have been saying since late 2008-ish, “Its over for America.” IOW - this nation has deliberately spurned God so thoroughly for so long that I don’t see things turning around.
I hope I am wrong.

No fan of Franklin Graham here. He was a big supporter of the COVID jabs. I stopped my annual contribution to Samaritan's Purse because of his claims that Jesus would take the shots. Other than John MacArthur, I cannot think of any prominent minister in non-charismatic evangelical ranks who opposed the COVID narrative and the church shutdowns. I give a lot of credit to the numerous charismatic and Pentecostal pastors who stood strong against the COVID lockdowns.

You were right then and I think we’re on the cusp of something even worse now.

Keep praying and looking up brother!
