Secularism rejects the True and Living God, but not religion. So it must embrace other gods. Often it is the demonic. This is a growing phenomenon in the West. Secularism has produced a society that rejects the True and Living God, but not demons (although they will not always call them demons).
As our society goes more and more secular, and thus demonic, the Church must be prepared. We must embrace the supernatural worldview that the Bible presents without embarrassment or apology.

It may have been a test……but if it were weather related our weather radio would have come on.

In Luke 13:19, Jesus said that the kingdom of God “is like a tiny mustard seed that a man planted in a garden; it grows and becomes a tree, and the birds make nests in its branches.”
The fact is that those people and systems without Christ are perishing and the Lord's kingdom continues to grow despite tribulation. The tribulation and evil we've seen since Christ and today - are birth pangs.
Today's Christians need to be like Nehemiah where we build the kingdom on one hand and resist/fight the enemies of Christ on the other hand. Our weapons are not natural but spiritual (Eph 6:12-18). Today's Christians need to come to terms that His kingdom is here (in you) and that soon Jesus will govern His kingdom from Jerusalem.
If we are depressed by what we see in our nation and the world, I would say: pray "thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as in heaven"; read the Word, turn off the bad news; turn your gaze upon and worship Jesus; be filled with the Holy Spirit.
This world is not our home. He is coming! Maranatha!

I attended a prayer gathering at Yale University last night (on New Haven Green) - it was requested by the Christian Yale students to reclaim that institution in the name of Jesus Christ.
500+ people showed up - a LOT of students, some Instructors and the surrounding community - Jesus was loudly proclaimed and worshipped and preached.
VERY heartening to see so many young people totally sold out for Jesus - right there in the middle of very secular Yale University.
Please pray for Christians at our nation's Universities - that they may may be bold and rooted firmly in the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
