I know what Books belong in the Bible. The Council of Carthage met in 398AD and put together the Bible and that is the Bible that was used all the way up until the Reformation in the 1500s. Having been steeped in heresy, it is extraordinary God used Blessed Luther & Blessed Calvin - and so many others- to recover the Word of God and the Gospel of Grace.

I understand your annoyance and as a woman who held fast to catholicism until someone explained to me what the death of Jesus accomplished, I felt hurt by the idea that anyone would say I was not a Christian. My dear friend, all that is necessary is that you are aware that Jesus and Jesus alone is way. If you accept this one thing then you are indeed a Christian, confess your sins and you are heaven bound when you take your last breath. Your heavenly Father has your name written in the Lamb’s Book of Life. If, on examination of what you believe about Jesus,cannot say this is what you believe, I prayerfully ask you remedy that and accept it as the only truth that matters. It is Salvation and the only thing that permits you into an eternity in heaven. I am praying for you and that is not a “Hollywood” promise.I expect to see you in heaven.

You can continue to shift the goalposts and squirm every which way, but still no perpetual virginity of Mary can be found in Scripture.
The thing is that it is possible to be saved in the RCC, and I do fear God. I know He meets people where they are, and some of those places can be very peculiar indeed. Take for example the sacrifice of Isaac. I imagine that there were probably people who practiced human sacrifice in the vicinity, no doubt that contributed to the trust in God that Abraham needed to have.
I do not feel called to instruct Catholics about what I believe to be the error of the RCC’s ways. I do believe that there is another ministry for me centered more on encouraging people to look toward God for their salvation. The fiery serpent image that was held up for healing back in the Old Testament, after the children of Israel made and worshipped the golden calf? That was incorporated into prophecy about Jesus crucified, and held up on a cross. Would you have seen that one coming? I know that I wouldn’t have, and that causes me to fear God all the more, because I know that His mercy alone can save. I don’t think it does any good to plod along logically when things like that come out of left field. There may be a role for Mary, who knows?
God will judge His own and those who mistakenly believe they are his own. The humble wheat with its heads of grain bowed, vs the proud tares that stand erect.
