If that’s his hotbutton issue, then it’s not surprising he can’t motivate folks.
If Paul, who WILL NOT get the nomination, would get out of the way, we might be able to stop McCAin. A vote for Paul is a vote for McCain. He has NO republican support.

As Florida voters seek to decide between the two frontrunners, support for other candidates is fading. Rudy Giuliani is a distant third at 18%, Mike Huckabee 12%, some other candidate, 5%, and Ron Paul 2%, someone else 5%.
Now, as for it being better that he got NONE of his legislation passed (he was hired as a legislator, remember!) Ron CO sponsored more legislation by liberals in congress than you will admit.
Here’s a few of the sillier ones. And he does PANDER to minority special interests ALOT.

Ron Paul certainly gets a rise out of Republicans.
Paul’s somewhat premature. Wait till we have to buy wheelbarrows to carry the load of inflation.
But Paul’s good news - he increases, Rudolph decreases.
A vote for Ron Paul is a vote for Ron Paul. I will be voting for Ron Paul in Florida.
Ron Paul is the only candidate who has the least bit of enthusiasm for his Candidacy, funny thing is, his platform was what Conservatism was about, small Govt, limited reach and scope, sound fiscal policy etc.
What we have running now is Country Club types running for Prez, some are better the others, but they certainly do not inspire confidence and enthusiasm in their supporters.
Puleeeeeeeeeeeeeze give it a rest with this lunatic.
I know proper grammar has been sacrificed to the soundbyte, but shouldn't this read, "...was honored with the opportunity to speak..."
Oh, well. It's only logic.
And speaking of logic and its absence, mutilation, and/or dysfunction, there's this:
I am talking about his vow to abolish the Federal Reserve Bank.
Thomas Jefferson was one of the wealthiest men of his time, but even he would consider the people in the middle class for more fortunate than himself.
Indoor plumbing, electricity, t.v., internet, air travel, cars, cell phones; there's never been, in the history of the world, such a pampered society as we have built for ourselves; and to think we did it with the Federal Reserve.
Hate him or like him, the man has balls.
In the Florida debate saying he would try to end Social Security. Balls.
At least ya know he Won’t increase the size of Gummit.
It’s amazing what passes for conservatism these days.
Rise? LOL...now that's funny!! Rise my arse. U.S. Army Retired |
I say the same thing when it comes to the Big Government Republicans and RINOS
He has balls, but he is a bad politician, he comes off poorly.
Our federal budget will surpass 3 trillion soon enough, and when the Baby Boomers hit the SS funds, that will balloon, his statement took guts, but people do not want to hear about tomorrow’s problems.
Abolish the Federal Reserve...that does give one a chuckle..
Ain't that the truth? Dr. Paul, crazy old SOB or not, is offering TRUE conservatism; what it was meant to be.
The Republican and Democrat Sheep on all these boards, who keep voting in these same globalist traitors can shout all they want. It won't change the truth.
And by the way,...I don't think Ron Paul is near as crazy as Capn' John McQueeg.
When it comes to politicians and political parties, conservatism is no longer an issue of topic.
I disagree.
I believe Mr. Jefferson was well aware of the fleeting nature of material conveniences, esp when compared to the beauty of true liberty.
I believe he would pity the "middle class" for being so lacking in character, and he would be disappointed in how the glorious legacy of the founders and framers has been squandered for the pursuit of pleasure.
And don't mistake these comments as addressing the nature and function of the Federal Reserve. They are not.
