Definitely poor planning. He should imported Maria rather than exporting himself. Then he could have used Billy Jeff's strategy: he'd stop by Gennifer Flowers's apartment while out jogging for exercise.
Sanford completing his term will guarantee a Democratic governor next time. As for the POTUS thing, it’s delusional. This article is not worth reading because the title is in denial. Far, far worse than the affair was his erratic - almost sociopathic - scheme to disappear from civilization and his duties as governor to a country several thousand miles away perhaps thinking no one would notice. He’s a derelict and an incompetent.
Totally agree. Couldn’t have said it better myself.
(BTW, it was Bristol who had the child out of wedlock)
Nonsense. That didn't occur with Larry Craig in ID and the Senate seat, the Dems have a serious problem with no real substantial candidates. The problem WE have is if Bauer gets the Governorship. Bauer DID almost lose, he won by ONE percent in '06, a very damaged incumbent. If he becomes Governor carrying his baggage and RINO inclinations (and other "personal" stuff, think Crist 'n Craig), he will insist on running for the full term and cripple whomever ends up the nominee (which might very well be him) and THEN a Dem could win, even an unimpressive one (like Hodges did in '98 over Beasley). Sanford assures Bauer doesn't get the Governorship and cause that scenario to happen. The GOP can then have their candidates run "against" him (or ostensibly claim to be against him), and still hold it. Unless Sanford violated the law or committed an impeachable offense (he hasn't), there's no reason to remove him now. Let him finish the job he was elected to.
I know we all sin. I’m just tired of folks like Bennett saying who we should and shouldn’t vote for or support and then when they trot out their immaculate star, their star goes to pieces all on their own.
LOL! I was SO SURE I had it figured out!
You said — Has The New York Times already endorsed him in the Republican primary?
—
Yep, that’s the “ploy” that the Democrats and liberals like to foist upon conservative voters... all right... LOL...
Next you’ll be hearing that they also support Romney, a cult group member who will never get the vote of a significant portion of the GOP Christian right, as a large segment will never vote for a cult member for President, besides a large group who will never vote for a liberal, too... :-)
That’s why they were so happy to have McCain there, so McCain could give his fake support for Pallin, to “toss a crumb” to the conservatives, too.
Now, you’ve got McCain who is embarrassed about Palin and Romney who sends out his goons, whenever there’s a chance to keep shooting down Palin.
Yep, these Democrats sure do know how to pick the right guys for us conservatives... LOL...
You said — By next month Sanford will replace McCain as the Dems favorite Republican.
—
Abso-dam-lutely... LOL...
You said — No. Not buying.
—
And the Democrats are so, so sorry to hear that...
You said — Okay... here you go. But she’s got a tough uphill battle against a press and country club RINO establishment that’s got the long knives arrayed against her...
—
Heck! You had the McCain liberal wing/establishment and the Romney goons after her before the election was even over...
Well, I have heard that kind of sentiment voiced elsewhere.
I hear murderers aren’t that unhappy with their deed, as much as they are about getting caught... LOL...
How is he going to come out against socialized medicine when he promoted it and enacted it in Massataxes.
You said — I think a bigger problem for Romney is going to be his MassCare program.
—
Oh..., “What a tangled web we weave, when we seek to deceive.”
LOL...
Heck if he could name this 80’s song and artist, I’d vote for him...
Extra credit for any FReeper who can name that tune...
Whenever she’s around
My whole world starts coming down
And I lose control
When she’s away I began to miss her
She holds me close and I can’t resist her
She kisses me on the lips
Walks away and wiggles her hips
And I lose control
Gotta have that girl, she’s all I ever wanted
Don’t tell your man
I got a plan
So understand that I can never be the type of guy
That will try to make you cry, -—
— were never true to take the blame
So I will make your mine, don’t look behind
In time the thing will fit the crime
Like they say, what comes around goes around
And brings you down
Maria, yeah some place for us
Maria, somewhere a place for us
Together we will be, until eternity
Somewhere out there, I got to make you mine
Tonight in the corners of my lonely room
I pray for your salvation, rehabilitation
And I pray to the Lord above to forever bring me love
And as I fall asleep to dream once more
I have to make you mine
This is no more about adultery then it was with Clinton.
This man needs to resign immediately.
That train left the station.
Well, he wouldn’t have gotten “set up” if he had been thinking with the big head instead of the little one.

Romney walked away with the Free Republic member poll on Super Tuesday. I can't seem to hotlink the image, but it is linked in my post #255 here:
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1965093/posts?q=1&;page=251.
Which GOP presidential hopeful do you want to see win the most delegates on Super Tuesday?
Mitt Romney________75.1%___1,627 votes
Ron Paul___________12.0%____ 261
Mike Huckabee______7.7%_____166
John McCain________5.2%_____112
Total_____________100.0%___2,166
It’s a good thing that FReepers found out about him before he bamboozled all of us then... LOL...
