I only posted the last few paragraphs of the speech before Parliment. It was way to long for a post.

Thanks for the link to MadIvan's thread.

You can almost set your calendar to the Rose Festival. I only remember one year without the rain. We do manage to get by with real light rain some years.

Ordered it to go.

LOL!

Then forced trainees to drive through it.They made us crawl through it. I did manage to bury a 290M earth scraper in mud like that during AIT. :-)

I think the S tank is the lowest profile Ive seen in production.
Card card = thin.

I was going to say.."IKEA TANK"..but then..its not made out of wood.

The Merk mud hog was a post from a IDF trooper who put his tank in the mud intentionally at one of their training sites.
next pic is him with about 4 girls partying

Go IDF! : )

The worst I got was getting stuck up to my axles in Fort Drum sand.
And then having the treadheads drive by with a smile, wave, finger pointing, and outright laughter.

It was a tank that ran me off the road and into the mud.

Oh man, that's low!
Me, my Captain told me to stop and I knew we shouldn't have.
The second he yelled for me to get moving, we were done.

I'm 5'5" tall, not sure what that translates to in meters.

6 feet is a pretty normal size for the men here.

Oh Sure, let everyone know I'm a klutzy sailor.

LOL. Well perhaps but you were a great groundpounder. We'll leave sailing to the real sailors.

Evening Grace Snip & Sam~

Okay folks time to help "tread brain" out here . . . quote,

First, they were driven to provide the lowest profile possible to decrease the probability of the AFV being sighted and hit by opponent forces. This required the removal of the traditional turret and mounting of the main weapon directly in the hull of the machine, reducing the total height to 1.9 meters.

. . . but then we have

What am I missing? Help me Obe-one.

1.9 meters = 6 feet 2 3/4 inches almost 6' 3"

Sam is 6 ft 1 inch and I consider him tall.
Gator Navy is 6'4" and I would consider him VERY tall.
Darksheare is 5'5" and I would consider that short.

I would think 5'10 or 5'11 would be more of an "average".

But what the heck, height isn't what makes the man. :-)

My Top told me I was lucky it was a tank cuz if I had let anything else run me off the road, I would have been in "real" trouble.
