You're back!
christmas list ping
Where's the fun in that?
Got a spare 10K??
We need one of these!!!
Lahti L39 20mm AT rifle, known to Finnish troops as the Norsupyssy
Umm, if that were really a .50, wouldn't one of hers be missing afterwards?
This part lost me. Guided somehow?
Umm, if that were really a .50, wouldn't one of her arms be missing afterwards?
I saw one at the machine gun shoot here in Colorado after I read the book. I was very impressed but didn't pay to fire it. The guys next to the Solothurn had a 37mm German antitank gun they were using to blow up some junk cars. I love explosions.

Actually, because of the short barrel, I believe most of the powder has not even burned before the round exits. There is not a lot of time for the pressure to build up and give you a big kick.
I lifted the picture from here -

Great to see you posting again archy!
Nobody hunts deer with a 25mm.
I still need one anyway!
"Things get in the way. Like BUILDINGS"
Here in Los Angeles, the AIR is too dirty to see 2,500 yards. But just you wait 'til they outlaw SUVs.
Norwegian Pussy?
Christmas is Near!!!
I'll put this under my wifie's pillow.
IIRC, a .30-06 will punch through everything but Class 3
If it can calculate true range, slant range, angle of departure, maximum ordinate, earth curvature, air temp, ammo temp, barometric pressure, wind velocity and direction, humidity, spin drift, danger zone and burnout range, and incorporate those into a scope setting, that is one helluva tool!
I suspect it's more of a glorified bullet drop compensator.
1000 meters farther than your .50?
>>Accurate out to 2,500 meters <<
You just need the add on parts.
>>Components interchangeable with M-107 .50 caliber rifle<<
This is what I would need.
>>Incorporates BORS ballistic computer<<
Now the suppressor system (natural aversion to loud noises cause I'm already half deaf) and somebody to carry the thing for me and I'd be set.
One more thing. Where could you get targets that would tolerate a 2nd shot? Vehicles are expensive!
>>the XM-109 is perfectly capable of stopping a vehicle without obliterating it and causing additional collateral damage<<
CO$T$
$10,000 for the weapon
$1000 for a case of ammo
$500 for a (used vehicle) target
$1000 travel expenses to and from the range
I don't think the Mrs. would give me $12.5 grand to go play at the range with this new 'toy'. Looking like you are the one who gets to have all the fun with it. Can we see the videos?
