Special Presentation - White House Christmas 2004
Episode HWHC2-S04
HGTV is stepping inside the White House with dozens of decorators, volunteers and staffers to find out just what it takes to decorate the home of the President and the First Lady for the holidays.
The White House chief usher, the chief florist and the executive pastry chef take viewers through the exhilarating three-day process of decking the halls of the "People's House."
What's this year's theme? Go to our White House Christmas 2004 package to find out in our exclusive online video.
You'll also find video snippets from past White House holidays, plus details on all the White House holiday decorations, local events and more as our nation's capital dresses up for the holidays.
Here's your answer nutmeg. BTW, it's airing 9 times before Christmas giving us all an opportunity to see it.
Thanks for the reminder. HGTV got me through the campaign when I couldn't stand hearing another word from John F. Kerry on the news channels.
I watched the Animal Channel. Thought I saw Te-rey-sa a few times...
I also get a big kick out of 'What Not to Wear' on TLC.
I will! If all goes as scheduled, I'll be home on the 20th. Wooooohooooooo!!
I'll spend four days in DC with family and the rest of the time in my adopted home state - the Great State of Texas. :-D
Thank you for your kind words. We're doing all we can to make Christmas as cheerful as we can for our troops. The camp is starting to look downright festive.
Thank you for starting this thread. This is one of my favorite Christmas-themed shows all year! :-)
Thank you both for the pings. I can't wait... I am THERE Tuesday night! ;-)
Please FReepmail me if you want on or off my miscellaneous ping list.
Thank you Sweetie....Happy Holidays!
And thank you too! Happy Holidays!
I can't wait! I've had my vcr set for more than a week! I have to wonder how the alphabet networks can be so petty as to pass on airing this event. Ok, maybe I don't wonder so much as wonder why they don't just get over it.
Laura Bush is just one of the best first ladies ever and a fine role model for (us) women.
Can you imagine next year if it had been First Lady Heinz? Eeesh....
SHUDDER! I can well imagine how Tazmanian Tuh-ray-zuh would have hosted it. Blech. We dodged a bullet, at least for now.
Thanks for the schedule. I'd been wondering when this special would air. It's great every year.
Howlin, thanks for the ping. Saw the ad for this - it's going to be beautiful.
bump
bump back!
Wow - Allegra, I just looked at your page......my hat is off to you for your work in Iraq. Bless you. PLEASE tell every soldier you see before you leave, that we love and apreciate them and the work they are doing to keep our country safe. Safe journey and God Speed to you.
One hour bump...
Where is everyone?!
They just said "Willie the Cat" is going to make her debut tonight. In 4 years, I don't believe I've ever seen her other than that one familiar photo.
Hey, I'm watching this stuff. Very impressive...
