Repubs won't be able to win the black or hispanic vote unless they become just like Dems. Wait 20 years. It will happen.

A study of todays headlines has companies cutting jobs...the stock market in aa spin down...the economy in shambles...etc... etc...all leftover mind you from Clinton.
IMO this Mexico deal and Japans et al's stock market downfall along with ours leads to the introduction of globalization to save? NOT!!! us all.

Section 245(i) permits illegal aliens who have established an employment or familial relationship while in the U.S. illegally to adjust their status with the INS after payment of a $1,000 fee. What? Apparently the price of attaining all the benefits of citizenship is rather cheap. $1,000 per head -- who set that price?
Three million illegals X $1,000 = far more than just money!

I cited the Libertarians because I've noticed a few of them tend to jump on the bash Bush bandwagon and gleefully squeal when Bush does anything they can try to call a betrayal.
Not all, but some.

My point. Duh!

Havent you ever noticed that immmigrants are almost always more enterprising and hardworking than native born Americans who feel they have a God given right to a paycheck. In the South and out West, you're probably right. But we don't experience any of those in the Northeast ;-).
I just question the complete opening of the border to any and all. I think those that truly want to come to this country to work and start businesses are either already in the system or would probably go through the steps that are in place to come in legally.
As far as native born Americans, you are absolutely correct. We have to hire a lot of Peruvian immigrants to fill some of our jobs that are deemed to be "beneath" the Americans.

"Just remember that when there is no lettuce in your supermarket since it rots in fields with no pickers to pick it, you wait 30 minutes at a Burger King drive thru, and the bathroom at your office is filthy. "
That's a little wierd considering that before the mass welfare immigration we had better service, people who could get my order right BECAUSE THEY SPEAK ENGLISH, and our restrooms were actually without the mess left by immigrant vandals. We had lettuce every week, our welfare system wasn't clogged with illegals, our schools didn't have the violence brought by the illegals, and our cities were less crime ridden. My wife is a social worker, so I hear and see this crap every day. Seems we had a better country before the illegals.
Funny, too, is that the legal Mexican immigrants do very well and usually participate positively in American society. My best friend for several years was a first generation American from Mexico, and he was absolutely the most upstanding person I have ever met: Chrisitan, happily married to an American, 4 girls of great charater, etc.

Hey anti-American: I said "most".

"Havent you ever noticed that immmigrants are almost always more enterprising and hardworking than native born Americans who feel they have a God given right to a paycheck. "
So, is that why most criminals in LA's jails are Mexican? Maybe that is why most people on welfare in the southwest are mexican illegals? Maybe that is why many have children in the US to get welfare? Is that why many get us immigration so their parents can get SSI without having lived here and paid for it? Maybe that is why 3 of 5 students in Denver are Mexicans who don't speak English, because they love America so well? Is that why Mexicans and people who wants all of them over here have believe Amerca is nothing more than a paycheck?
To: RaceBannon
Bump!!! Very well said. We cant have a double standard.
To: PatrioticAmerican
Whoa there, Tiger. Anti-American I am not, anti-xenophobe I am.

"I don't see "home grown" Americans exactly lining up for those jobs. "
That is because we (GWB) is and wants to give the lazy US @ssholes a free ride via entitlements. Cut off the support from the taxes of the people who work and let them either pick the lettuce and clean the johns or starve.
I would love to see how many of these fat @sses would commit suicide by starvation.

#27 OK, Digger, I voted for Pres Bush, and I'll do it again. I can't possibly agree with everything he does, and I adamantly do not like Fox, but I still support my president. If he doesn't go along with the "amnesty", the Dems will accuse him of being anti-Hispanic; they want to tar and feather Bush, and will do anything to accomplish.
We don't know all the makings behind this, but if the Repuns in Congress go along with it, I also will.

While: It also allows illegal aliens to avoid the State Department background checks
How many felons, domestic abusers, etc?
Welcome to America, only true Americans are dirt.

Seems like the real travesty here was that the Senate passed it on a "voice vote" which means (to the best of my understanding) that there is no record of who voted what way.
In other words, the Senate is operating in complete secrecy on this issue with absolutely NO ACCOUNTABILITY to its constituents! - Completely understandable given that the RATS control this chamber of the legislature, but it SHOULD HAVE BEEN CLOSE - it t'weren't. The Elephants and Donkies are cavorting.
Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but this bill has to get through the House of Representatives - right? As with McBane-Feingold, bad legislation can be stopped by the hothead crowd. It would truly be an indication of globalist conspiracy if the House also voted on amnesty by voice. Let your representatives know where you stand en masse if FReepers want to stop this nasty!

A xenophobe is not someone wanting to protect borders. We have borders for a reason.
