Oh...for the proof that Ridge is Eddie:

Are you saying he should get rid of Ridge and the Fatherland Security position too?
There is a resemblence to Eddie Munster. Maybe you should give the new guy on the block a few months to get the other gummint agencies in line.

Are the Munsters running "Homeland Security?" You decide.Man, just the title of this cracked me up! The likeness is eerie.

Herman would be proud.

That little Eddie picture certainly does look like Ridge. Nice to see that, in the name of bipartisanship, he has Robert Reich on his lap.

I say give Ridge a chance to get used to the national spotlight. Even W was a bit unsure of himself at first.

I thought Ridge was straight spoken, helpful, and did a fine job.
Most of my attention was on Norton-Holmes however, I still can't believe she never picked her nose in all that time. She looked at it, she wriggled it, she scratched at it.
I thought they put her there, right in the middle of the screen, for comic relief- but it was all a tease.

T. Ridge: "We're looking into high technology to help us eradicate the mail."

I wonder if this thread will stay up. I posted a Freeper poll to see if we could rename the Office of Homeland Security and it was deleted. My 3 suggestions weren't complimentary.

ROFL! "The Director of Fatherland Security" Achtung!
To: LarryLied
He looked horrible up there and I do not feel secure about a man who is given the Homeland Security post to protect my safety when he is for the killing of innocent, defenseless Americans.
You might say, "what is 'truth' talking about?' Well this man is a pro-abort and has been defending a woman's "right to choose" to kill her baby as governor of Pennsylvania. Very ironic indeed.

What I suspect we have done is, under the impulse of the moment, created a potential serious monster, references to past comical TV series aside.

Tom Ridge faced his first test as Homeland Security chief--and he failed. The anthrax in the D.C. mail system should have been dealt with quickly and the workers in those facilities ought to have been tested last week like the Senate staffers were. The testing being done now is too late for a few of those workers.

Bush has the best team on foreign affairs I have seen in my lifetime. But he has the F team on domestic problems. This is no time for anyone to learn on the job. Thompson and Ridge should be gone tomorrow. Couldn't agree more. As for Ridge, if we don't believe his dye job, how can we trust him on anthrax?

Are the Munsters running "Homeland Security?" You decide. GAH! Thanks a lot. Now I have the theme music stuck in my head!

Wrong, wrong, wrong!
Eddie Munster grew up to be Neil Cavuto. QED.

Tell me Tom Ridge is not Eddie Munster Tom Ridge is not Eddie Munster. Give the guy a break. New Job, no job description, etc. I'll concede only that we did't need another bureaucrat. We already had plenty of folks on the payroll to do the job.

Give the guy a break. He and at least 100 other clowns are trying to put together a new liberal, big government, tax sucking bureaucracy with, other than a feel good name, no known goals....
And, I'll bet they'll soon be openening offices in every state.

"Homeland Security"When I first heard W utter those words in that speech, I instantly flashed on the Home Guard organization from the Babylon5 series. They were quite the goose-stepping bunch.
Probably the worst part was when Ridge said all the talk about "weaponized" anthrax lends nothing to the debate but confuses people.
What did he posit as the "debate"?
Thanks for the flag; your title made me LoL. :-)

I would feel much safer if it was the Addams family
