It's not a new development, if that's what you mean. From what I've seen it is true. I read the account of this some time ago, but I wouldn't swear as to whether it was the same guy or not. I can't keep the names straight.

Eyptian, arabic.... All the soldiers from these countries that I have ever met were childish in their though process.
I don't want to appear rude or superior in mindset, but Eyptian paratroopers are poorly trained, scared to death to jump for the most part (and who would blame them since the training is so poort).... The western mind asks questions about situations, whereas in my experience, the arabic mind just accepts things. They do things and do not fully think out the causes and effects.

He had puzzled fellow soldiers with his haughty attitude toward America and avowed Islamic fundamentalist beliefs. This guy didn't "dupe" anyone -- he was just dealing with a bunch of people (an entire nation, actually) that knew exactly what he was all about but didn't want to do anything about it.

The same way that you have to be born in the USA to become president. They should start on a much lower scale then that. I say if you werent born in the USA then you can't join the armed forces here either.

This report is just 'the tip of the iceberg', there was an iraqi connection with this guy. He was part of the link between Saddam and the first attack on the WTC.

All we need now is an Al-Qaeda ordinanceman on a US warship or magazine.

any word if this is true ? sounds too bizarre to be.........Here's a happy thought from Middle East expert Daniel Pipes that might clarify things for you:
Islamists constitute a small but significant minority of Muslims, perhaps 10 to 15 per cent of the
population. Many of them are peaceable in appearance, but they all must be considered
potential killers.
How does 600,000 to 900,000 -- in our country -- potential killers sound?
