CIA Groundwork?
NBC News | 24 Oct.'01 | Newscast/Andrea Mitchell-Greenspan

Posted on 10/24/2001 4:17:07 PM PDT by rdavis84

There was a short interview that I caught the most of, except Who the CIA (ex, of course) guy was. The statement he made in answer to two last questions from Ms. FedRes may or may not be the first shot of the CIA covering butt on the OKC bombing -- similar to what the "reports" confirmed about their drug running activity.

I'm paraphrasing here --- Mitchell --- How do your agents pass the Terror Cell Loyalty Test?

CIA Guy ---- They must do a terrorist act.

Mitchell ----- You mean, kill people? Blow them up?

CIA Guy --- Yes, things like that.

Anybody got a better recounting of that bit?

Missed it, but what you've recounted is...chilling.

My thought on hearing this guy, and the timing, and that a lead interviewer like Mitchell did the interview, was that BDD's message rang some bells last night.

Might be coincidence, might not. But it was a POINT made --- "Our M.E. Agents MAY have to blow some people up to Infiltrate the Cells".

I think that OKCSub and BDD might be shining a light where the roaches live. And they don't like it.

It may take a week or so, but if more of that starts getting air time, it's because they know they're getting exposed in a simple, straightforward way.

Thanks for that link back to BDD's comments. I'll repost it on this thread as a bump.

You guys and ladies will have to bump anyone, that you deem for my response on this amazing thread.

LSJohn, You mean if a retired General of a Southern Special Operations Command in GatorLand, while invited to sit for dinner at a well-known Beltway riverside dining spot, stated that unless a certain Asst. Secretary, came clean on all aspects of the OKC bombing, and somehow released knowledge held by military intelligence agencies, other than those chosen for overseas covert operations--that unless this happened in a complete and well-organizied manner, that this certain retired Special Operations General, with cojones big as watermelons, would make life a living hell for all involved? Would that be a pretty good way to approach this?

As for any numbers held by McVeigh, let me just make one up, if in fact, this number did in fact exist, and if this number did in fact exist, I would be unable to verify, or deny that this number did exist, if in fact, any knowledge of this number existed at all? OH, how about---96442230288?

That number should make Mr. Wolfowitz swallow his salad?

Regards,  Stmoritz.

Perks up the ears and antennae, doesn't it? Time will tell.

How much complicity can be allowed before an action becomes treason? There has to be a boundary somewhere and I'm inclined to believe we have reached it in quite a few places.

This sounds like SOP for infiltrating bad guys. Wrestle with pigs, you will get muddy. Our other choice is more 9/11/01's. You pick.

They don't seem to have done a successful job of infiltration, if something as big as 9/11 escaped their notice.

I do not believe it did escape their notice. For reference --- CIA "Deals"

Don't forget, the CIA was starting to look like imbeciles to many people for their (supposed) failure to know of Nuke Development in India and Pakistan. And the flow of secret info to China.

And their $35 Billion/yr. was likely in jepordy. Aren't they a bit more secure now? And probably richer, too.

You're talking about a really high-risk strategy. I don't think a Dubya administration would have cut their budget much, before 9/11, but, if what you are suggesting approaches the truth, then a mere fraction of the truth now would destroy the whole agency, and their whole budget.

I saw it tonight on NBC, Andrea Mitchell was interviewing a former high level CIA man who had the highest knowledge of the Al-Queda network and Afghanistan.

He said the only way to beat the terror networks would be to infiltrate their cells. That would mean they would have to pass a test of loyalty by committing a terrorist act. She then asked him if he meant blowing up others, even Americans, and he answered before Sept. 11 that would not have been tolerated, but now...
