USA, U.K. TO SHOOT MISSILES ON IRAQ?
RIA Novosti ^ | 2001-10-28 12:22 | Yuri Zinin and Konstantin Maximov

BEIRUT, OCTOBER 28, 2001. /RIA Novosti correspondents Yuri Zinin and Konstantin Maximov) -- The USA and Great Britain are plotting to hit 300 targets in Iraq with a thousand missiles to overthrow President Saddam Hussain, Iraq's Vice-Premier Tariq Aziz said in an interview the British-based Sunday Telegraph carries today.

Iraq expects the US-British plan to be implemented, sooner or later, said the Vice-Premier as he flatly refuted suspicions of Baghdad behind the US anthrax mail.

IRAQ said yesterday that it expects to be attacked by America and Britain, and warned of the "grave" consequences if any attempt was made to topple Saddam Hussein from power.

Oh no. They won't declare another holy war on us will they? That would be number 749 in the last three weeks. Or maybe it would be the dreaded mother of all wars....again.

If we nuke all muslems nation tomorrow and kill 100% of their people, 90% of the world's problem would be over.

Thanks for the note to check out the responses. Aziz? I wouldn't doubt we've got contingency plans for Iraq. I don't Aziz knows anything more than that Saddam handed him a note and said, "Read this in public." Saddam wants to preempt any likely strikes by going public. Good luck Saddam. No doubt the Joe Balooka inteligence network lives...

Expansion of this war is total insanity of the highest order. We can't win. There is NO WAY.

We CAN WIN and WE WILL WIN.. whether the article is accurate or not it's great to see them worried.

Just as long as we put plenty of ordnance on target, that will look close enough to winning to suit me. If we aim at Iraq and the CEP is a little on the large side, that wouldn't distress me either. Nice thing is they want to be martyred, or so it reads in the major news reports.

Troubling Anthrax Additive Found

"Despite a last-minute denial from the White House, sources tell ABCNEWS the anthrax in the tainted letter sent to Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle was laced with bentonite. The potent additive is known to have been used by only one country in producing biochemical weapons — Iraq."

A question worth asking, however, is why is he squawking at this point in time? What has spooked him? The attack he outlines would not be all that useful without a ground followup to occupy the country and desaddamize it.

I'm wondering how much we have done for the Kurds. No one hates Sad-dam as much as they do. They might provide ground follow up.

"I think Bush is pushing it too much."

I like pepper on my chicken pot pies.

But neither of these opinions should be based on this report, right?

Hope you are right. I hope we can neutralize Iraq before it's too late. There is a shift in who may be calling the shots since the China trip. The UN will have a greater roll in calling our shots. If C.Powell has anything to say about it we will back off again just before the job is complete. Bush promised Russia and China we would not expand into other countries w/out UN approval. Will that happen?

I think Bush is pushing it too much.

I guess it is better to let the problem fester until it can nuke you out of existence.

We've had wars with Iraq before. The big thing that bothers me is they're letting the enemies who are on US soil stay where they can and will attack American citizens.

Cool, targets for all of us "armed American Citizens".

Gentlemen, can you all calm down please. You all do not understand what's going on. You all are here chanting your usual pro-american rhetoric while President Bush is pushing (already pushed!) pro-governmentalist nazi legislation. What will it take for all you to see this war as a fraud?? The military on every american block in american civil society???

I had not read that.

We can't necessarily depend on the UN to support us when we need it, because there are so many votes there that are soft on terrorism or secretly funding it.

As I recall, they voted overwhelmingly to seat Syria on the Security Council within the last 45 days.
