Like it or not, we have to try to understand why these people did what they did. They are not just killing for the fun of it, they chose to murder our fellow Americans for a reason. A perverted, twisted reason, but a reason none the less. If we simply ignore it, history will repeat itself.

First, the 'reason' for the Muslim terrorists acts of mass murder are clear; bin Laden and many others have stated them many times; America is 'The Great Satan'. America is not muslim and so we are all infidels and deserve to be killed. Oh yeah, America supports Israel, another act that deserves our destruction, just as the radical muslims believe Israel deserves destruction. Does that clear it up for you? Think 'hate crime'.

To the bin Laden's of the world, Americans need to die because we are Americans and oppose everything radical muslims believe in...and we support Israel. That last fact alone is reason enough for radical muslims to want us dead, but in fact, it's just an additional piece of the rationale they use to justify mass murder. Abandoning Israel wouldn't stop them but the anti-Israel crowd who see the those two groups - Jews and radical Muslims - as morally equal would like to paint it that way. "Just abandon Israel and our problems in the mid-east will finally be over" is the usual line, and it's wrong.

There will always be evil in the world and appeasment of tyrants will never stop them but simply empower them. 100 years from now America will have other enemies in other lands, guaranteed. Meanwhile, we need to destroy the threat now facing us and understand that 'understanding them' means understanding that they wish us dead and believe that it's God's will for them to kill us. No rational discussion can come from that mindset; war and the defeat of the Arab Muslim terrorist organization is the only solution and the only path to peace and realtive safety.

It's not. The reality is she's just as paralyzingly stupid as Barbra Streisand.

The problem is that people will fawn all over the "stars" because of their "fame". And they'll gladly pay money to do it. So the "stars" are encouraged to keep it up. At least Streisand had the sense to tame down her anti-Bush claptrap on her website in recent weeks. Can't say the same for the mental lightweight Hanoi Jane.
