Way too many vanity threads lately. And way too much trash being posted. Please try to stay on topic (politics). Also, please do a search on a significant word from the title of your article before posting. This will reduce the number of duplicates. And, along these same lines, please use the original titles on your article posts. Do NOT edit the titles. Do NOT use "My Title" titles. This will also help to reduce the number of duplicates.

And, whatever else you do, please DO NOT post from DEMOCRATS UNDERGROUND (or any other such trashy un-American socialist hangout). Free Republic was intended to be a socialist free zone. We've gone to a heck of a lot of trouble to make it that way. Why in the world would you think we would be interested in having their trash posted here?

And QUIT trashing each other. You know who you are. Knock it off! Way too many flamewars and feuds going on. And, while I'm thinking about it, QUIT trashing our conservative candidates. If you want to criticize someone's position on some policy, have at it. But do not trash or smear the man. That would include Browne, Buchanan, Bush, Keyes, et al, or whomever else may be your favorite trashee (examples listed in alphabetical sequence). The idea is to get more conservatives elected, not to trash the ones you don't like. If you want to trash someone, make it a Democrat. Thank you.

And QUIT dredging up old communist propaganda to smear our conservatives. Sheesh! Whatever else you may think about our guys, they did not hijack airliners full of people and crash them into buildings. No, my friends, not even the dreaded CIA. Anyone who would believe (or even suspect) that crap is no FReeper. I've been pulling this crap whenever I see it and several people have been banned for continuing to post it. I do not want it on Free Republic. Any current FR poster who believes this leftist propaganda, please logoff immediately, send me your resignation via email, and I will delete your account.

Any chance we could also get rid of the anti-income tax postings that are really nothinh more than fronts for programs trying to sell their "knowledge" and "services." Friend in Orlando bought one (not from FP posting.) Ended up costing him $32K, his business, his family and 8 years in Club Fed.

I'm not debating Income Tax, IRS or anything else here. I'm just asking that we not have the not-so-well hiddden sales pictches for these anti-tax schemes.

Could I ask what your desires are on "Duplicate Posts" (besides "don't do it"!)?

And could there be mention to the populus to use the "Search" feature before posting?

It makes it easier to read one article and see all the comments consolidated to one thread, than having to flip through the pages of FR to see where else an article is posted.

And what about if there are two articles posted, dealing with the exact same issue but from different sources? Would you prefer additional articles following an original thread be inserted into the original thread on a topic?

Lord, I hope that's not true. I'm as pro-Israel as they come, but that kind of rhetoric is pointless, other than to vent, and it would be better if we yelled into our pillows that immortalize those thoughts on the internet.

Not only are you taking this thread off-topic, it is evident you are wanting to bring your Bush smear campaign rhetoric onto FR. Why not make the same remarks you are about Bush but direct it at the real source, that being Kennedy, Daschle, etc.

I hate when DU stuff is posted here. I also can't stand all these idiot vanity posts that make a mess of the "commments" layout. You need to lay the smack down once in a while.

I remember before the election when you purged a lot of the disruptive types it was so peaceful around here for a while.

That said, can you name for me a few "conservative" elected officials? I can't think of any right now. I'm very down on Bush as he has done nearly nothing for his base besides give us a few meager tax cuts. I and others here had worked very hard going to protests and giving our time and money getting him elected.

He's growing government like there's no tommorow, doing nothing about abortion or illegal immigration (except encouraging it) and expanding overbearing police powers. He seems more interested pleasing his enemies than his friends.

Help me out here. I and many others are feeling very lonely and discouraged.
