"Stop insulting Libertarians. At least we don't sell out."
That's only because your Livertarians haven't succeeded in gaining power yet. Wait until the day that they win an election, and just see what happens!

You weren't able to imply by his characterization of the LP as the "stupid party" that he was opposed to their position, thus in favor of the arrest? (Boy, I'm really bored ;)

And today's moral is...."DON'T BREAK THE LAW...."I'm with you. There should be summary execution, right on the street, by the arresting officer, for absolutely every offense.
Shoplift? BLAM! Jaywalk? BLAM! Speed? BLAM!

You mean we can't even bash Libraritarians?Yes you can. Just not Taurus' or Aries'.

"When it finally got to court my friend proved that she had returned the video "
How did your friend prove the tape was returned? I mean I just droped them in the box and hope they get it.

Granted, this is just a property matter, that should have been pursued through small claims court...However, someone wandering onto your property in some states gives you the right to blow their head off...ALRIGGGGGHTT! You're my man! Only, blowing peoples heads off should be the immediate 'instant justice' rendered for each and every minor or major infraction!!! Think of how many people we can cap!!! AWESOME!!!

West Coast Video keeps telling us we haven't returned a video and we did. The last time I checked, the charge was astronomical. They said they would take care of it a long time ago, but... Never thought that we might be arrested for their mistake!

When you're late with a Blockbuster video, they call over and over, then they write you...one can't say they didn't know. They haven't with me - they've simply charged me the late fee the next time I came in. Had they notified me, I'd have gone and paid.

Libertarians/anarchist--nazi syndrome...is it hopeless---fleas on the tail the dog is chasing!
Flea powder(realatarians)!
To: twigs
Blockbuster did that to me--twice. I don't rent there anymore. It's run by a bunch of pimple-headed teens who wield their power like the Taliban.

You went back to the town for the purpose of turning yourself in?

First, you asked the question before that post. Second, he doesn't clarify his position on the arrest. I guess he assumed (like anyone with common sense) that one could surmise his position by his initial response.
To: JoeEveryman
Don't look now, but I think someone is trying to pass a bill to make you illegal.
To: jimt
My brother rents from there frequently. If you're more than 2 days late, they call. Then they send you a bill for the late fees.
To: tjg
Yes, unfortunately I had to if I ever wanted a driver's license again. Don't know about other states but in NC a warrant, property taxes, etc goes directly to the DMV to block you from getting a license

"You weren't able to imply by his characterization of the LP as the "stupid party" that he was opposed to their position, thus in favor of the arrest? (Boy, I'm really bored ;)" riley1992 would not be able to imply anything, though (s)he might have inferred something. And I didn't say that the LP is "The Stupid Party" -- the Republican Party is, but the LP is gaining on them. The main page at www.lp.org actually has the "Girls in Prison" box cover displayed, and it's flippant press releases that make even LP members cringe at how silly the national HQ is.

First, you asked the question before that post.I asked that question in response to reading the article and what he/she initally posted about it.
I guess he assumed (like anyone with common sense) that one could surmise his position by his initial response.
He gave no position, just stated that he thought the Libertarian Party was acting ridiculously. As it turns out, it seems his quibble is with the silliness of the issue being at the forefront of a press release as opposed to something of much more import. I'm sure you know that, though, since you have so much common sense.
To: riley1992
The LP is opposed to the arrest. The poster calls the LP the "stupid party". COMMON SENSE tells one that the poster is against the arrest.
There, I finally s-p-e-l-l-e-d it out for the forum.
