Say No To "Moderate"!!!
Vanity | Today | Me

Posted on 02/12/2002 9:26:48 AM PST by MAKnight

Fellow Freepers ... one of the reasons we lose so often is that we have allowed the Left (i.e. the Media) power over the political dictionary. My beef is with the deceptive word "Moderate".

Am I the only one who has noticed that the way "Moderate" is defined by the presstitutes is virtually identical to "Democrat"? If you're a Republican who is pro-abortion, for gun-control, for racial preferences, for big intrusive government and gay marriage, and against school choice, you're somehow a "Moderate" (i.e. Lincoln Chafee). But if you're a Democrat, you're just an ordinary [no adjective] / "Moderate" (i.e. John Breaux) Democrat.

But if you're a Democrat who is against some of these things, you're a "Conservative" (i.e. Ralph Hall / Zell Miller). But if you're a Republican, you're a dangerous "Right-Wing" / "Out of the Mainstream" / "Extremist" Republican. In other words, Ted Kennedy and Hillary Clinton are "Moderates" under the presstitute definition!

This has to stop. Compare how many times the presstitutes mention "Moderate Republicans" as opposed to "Moderate Democrats". You hardly ever hear the "Moderate" adjective being attached to even avowedly Blue-Dog Democrats. But you see and hear the phrase "Moderate Republican" all the damn time. What this does is tell the public that the vast majority of Republicans (and the GOP as a whole) are "immoderates" / "extremists".

Like I said before, this has to stop immediately. We (especially those of us with ties to the GOP leadership) have to make certain that "Moderate" is no longer a viable descriptor for anyone who calls him or herself a Republican, whether you're John McCain, Rudy Guiliani or Ron Paul. You're either a Republican or you're not. Who sat down, under whose authority, to decide what is "Moderate" and what is not? And why should we accept their definition when it's clearly anti-Conservative and actively pro-Leftist?

DOWN WITH
"MODERATE"
REPUBLICANISM!!!

I think plenty of NYers will realize the REAL meaning of the word moderate when they wake up to the reality that they have TWO extremely liberal US Senators, NO moderates to represent them in the Senate.

Bump! Per Rush Limbaugh's definition, a "moderate" is simply a liberal who hasn't the guts to come out and say it. He basically hides in the closet til its time to come out and declare his true colors. Jim "Jumpin' Judas" Jeffords is your quinessential moderate and hence the enemy.

DOWN WITH "MODERATE" REPUBLICANISM!!!
'Kay. Hey, maybe we can organize a good, old fashioned purge of the grand old party. You know. Accusations of conspiracy. Mass arrests. Covert abductions. Show trials. Forced confessions. Panicky demonstrations of party discipline and elan. That sort of thing.

A whole archipeligo of them. So to speak. This things got legs, I can feel it.

We should all get together with a stack of pizzas and a white board and brainstorm. Paranoia strikes deep and all that.

The whole idea of the left is not to win races but to turn the political agument in their favor. First you think abortion is ok for rape and incest, then for women who forget to take the pill or make their boyfriend use a condom. Abortion is ok for everyone for any reason next. At last the goal is met of the government paying for abortions because doing otherwise would be the act of bigots.

We don't have to call it a "purge." "Cleansing" - yeah, "cleansing," that's the ticket...

Once again that damned voice of reason intrudes and ruins everything. And I had a great idea for a uniform for our secret police and paramilitaries too. Hint: tunics and jodhpurs and jack boots and lots of cool leather gear.

Revelation 3:15-16

I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot; I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew thee out of My mouth.

That scripture is exactly what comes to my mind every time I hear the term 'moderate'! Or hear one speak.

I dunno, chief - you might find yourself all alone on that one.

No tunic, but lots of cool leather gear ;)

Yeah, like the rest of us don't try to do this as well.

I've sent it to Rush several times but have never heard him use it on the air. It says everything I need to know about moderates...

Possibly but the DEM's have a lot higher sucess rate at doing this it seems. Look at all the RINO's playing the DEM Lite polka. While you can count on one hand conservative Dems. Like it or not the DEM party now controls a substancial portion of the GOP by not making those persons change parties but rather changing their rivals policies.
