THE FOLLOWING IS A LETTER I RECEIVED FROM ASSEMBLYMEMBER DENNIS MOUNTJOY REGARDING ASSEMBLY BILL 1326
Dear Concerned Grandparent:
Thank you for writing to me regarding your support for my nine-word bill,Assembly Bill 1326, which reads:"The promotion of homosexuality in public education is prohibited."This measure would have prohibited the promotion of homosexuality in public education. Unfortunately, the Assembly Education Committee defeated AB 1326 on January 16. All four Republicans present voted in support. Eight Democrats voted in opposition. A copy of the votes is enclosed
A Los Angeles Unigied School District (LAUSD) teacher testified in support of AB 1326. He explained and displayed the materials he has collected under court order that were being used for LAUSD's "Models of Pride 2" diversity training. Believe me when I tell you that this material is grossly inappropriate to be used in our schools under the guise of "safety" or "diversity" training or anything else. In my view, the material is pornographic and obscene.
I believe government schools should focus their energies on teaching our children to read, to write, to understand mathematics, to think and to analyze. Schools should not seek to use our schools as vehicles for social engineering.
I am very concerned about the direction government school curriculum is headed. Last year's Assembly Bill 1785 (Chapter 955, Statytes if 2000) requires schools to teach sexual orientation as a form of diversity. This year's AB 1434 proposed authorizing payment to outside "organizations" to teach K-12 students diversity. Under AB 1434, diverse sexual orientations, such as trans-sexuality, could be taught to children as normal and healthy.
Late last year, Superintendent of Public Instruction Delaine Eastin created a 38 member task force to draft recommendations and strategies for implementing AB537 (Chapter 587, Statutes of 1999). Interestingly, Mike Marshall, the task force co-chairman, also serves as Executive Director of the San francisco Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center.
Assembly Bill 537 proposes teaching our children diversity in order to create "safe schools." The AB 537 Task Force met in several secret sessions. They drafted a set of 12 recommendations to implement AB537. Under these recommendations, all State curriculums will be change to include alternative sexual lifestyles. In other words, literature, math word provlems, health and social studies classes, as well as other subjects will be tailored to positively protray homosexuality, bisexuality and transgenderism. The California Department of Education is poised to adopt these recommendations as administrative regulations to be followed in every K-12 public school. You can access the recommendations at the following site: http://www.cde.ca.gov/spbranch/safety/ab537/report.pdf
One of the recommendations urges the Department to "create positive, grade-appropriate visual images that include all sexual orientations and gender identities" for use in schools.
I have enclosed a copy of my AB press release, a list of the books approved by LAUSD for use in their diversity training, a page listing the members of the Assembly Education Committee and how you can contact them. I hope you will take the time to view these books and to write to the members of the Assembly Education Committee voicing your opinion on their AB1326 votes.
If you are as concerned as I am, I encourage you to go to your local school district and check out the materials being used for their diversity training or gay/lesbian appreciation days or weeks.
If you think the information is inappropriate, please let your school board know immediately.
Sincerely, Dennis Mountjoy
I have actually read most of this one. The subtitle is "How America Will Conquer Its Fear and Hatred of Gays in the 90s." All of the objectives of psychologist Kirk and PR expert Madsen have not been met by the end of the last century, as is evident by the Defense of Marriage Act and the many ballot measures in individual states keeping marriage defined the way it is (Vermont being the sole exception, although California's leftist legislature pre-empted the will of the voters with a series of "anti-discrimination" votes).
After the Ball is a step-by-step handbook on methods not only of stopping discrimination, but effective ways to intimidate those opposed to their agenda by comparisons to racists, Nazis, and the ever-reliable accusations of latent homosexuality.
Is the following article accurate?
"I doubt that my grandchild will ever set foot inside a public school until college, but I suggest the following plan of attack that I have broached with my daughter and her husband.
I will retain an attorney to draft a document stating clearly and comprehensively that any topics, presentations, outside speakers, forums, seminars etc. to which their child is to be subjected must be authorized by the parents of this minor child prior to involving this child in any of the above activities. The presentation of this notarized document will be preceeded by a complete examination of the curriculum planned for the year as well as the texts to be used. The document will conclude with a warning that legal action will be taken immediately against the staff, administration and all others involved should the prior review mandated by this document be violated. Notarized copies will be sent to the school board, principal, teachers' union president and state department of public instruction.
I will also encourage all other concerned parents to take similar steps and use this legal document as a template to recover control of our out-of-control public school system."
Parent activists seeking to advance a family-friendly, gender-complimentary vision for their community schools will find useful publications to equip them in this mission at www.abidingtruth.com.
This website offers "Opt Out" forms for parents who do not want their children to attend sexually explicit workshops promoting homosexuality and alternative lifestyles. The website also offers a comprehensive "Take Back the Schools" Handbook, which informs parents about gay-affirming programs in the schools and describes how to counter them with a pro-active, gender-complementary perspective based in a natural-law understanding of human sexuality.
"...When Clossey enrolled her son in Newton North High School's reading program little did she know that the teacher had bragged in the Boston Globe (July 8, 2001) of quietly introducing homosexual and transsexual subjects into his classes. The teacher, Michael Kozuch, handed out The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky with instructions to write an essay on it. What literary "treats" did Kozuch consider mandatory for other people's children? Sex between a boy and a dog, man-boy sex, anal sex between boys, male masturbation and female masturbation with a hot dog. By chance Clossey opened the book her son brought home. But what came after that shock was worse: She encountered public officials who saw protective parents as obstacles...
...Is Newton a rogue town? In nearby Brookline a transsexual told first-graders how his penis was cut off and he became a woman. With no sense of irony, the Globe called it "sex-change counseling." Parents, never notified, had to comfort their terrified children.
Ashland children were instructed to play homosexuals in a skit. As reported in the Middlesex News on April 1, 1994, one boy's line was: "It's natural to be attracted to the same sex." Girls were told to hold hands and pretend they were lesbians....
A prominent psychiatrist says the sex-ed curricula at these schools can lower children "to the level of animals" and inflict lasting harm. "Massachusetts schools' systematic promotion of homosexuality and promiscuity fosters sexual confusion and experimentation," says Nathaniel S. Lehrman, former clinical director of the Kingsboro Psychiatric Center in New York. "They dilute and trivialize [the capacity for] faithful sexual passion which should [later] be the cement of these children's marriages. Unstable youngsters may become particularly vulnerable to homosexuals who actively recruit them."
There are teachers all over North America quietly mainstreaming homosexual behavior to children as young as 5 years old. As widely reported, on "Gay Days" classes are cancelled and students led to compulsory activities where homosexuals explain their "lifestyles." The mind-control techniques are straight from Soviet schools..."
"Hovering in the shadows of the homosexual-rights movement is a little- known organization that has concentrated on public schools. The Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network does not appear on many parents' radar, but those who know about GLSEN say the group has been successful. "The only people who know about GLSEN are the ones fighting in hand- to-hand combat with them, or the 20 to 25 percent of Christians who receive mail from groups like Focus on the Family," said Lon Mabon, president of the Oregon Citizens Alliance....
GLSEN advocate Barbara Miner warned attendees that the voucher and private-school movement jeopardizes the gains pro-homosexual groups have made in public schools. The reason: Students who attend private religious schools may not be exposed to homosexual-tolerance materials..."

This website is not for the faint of heart or those who wish to construct their own reality. It is not intended to assuage parents worst fears, but will, in most cases, confirm them..."
"Citizens often arrive at what has been slated as a public hearing or a public forum to find that things don't seem quite right; that there is suddenly this new way of conducting meetings that somehow doesn't seem right. Instead of chairs set up for the audience with microphones where they can give input; there are now tables with chairs where people sit in circles and are facilitated by a pre-chosen facilitator.
The links below will take the reader through this facilitated process of consensus building, what it is, and why it stands diametrically opposed to the foundations upon which this nation was founded."
"The Delphi Technique was originally conceived as a way to obtain the opinion of experts without necessarily bringing them together face to face. In recent times, however, it has taken on an all new meaning and purpose. In Educating for the New World Order by B. Eakman, the reader finds reference upon reference for the need to preserve the illusion that there is " lay, or community, participation (in the decision-making process), while lay citizens were, in fact, being squeezed out." The Delphi Technique is the method being used to squeeze citizens out of the process, effecting a left-wing take over of the schools...."

An excerpt from Centennial apologizes for allowing gay speakers by Tracy Jan, The Oregonian, 02/18/02
"GRESHAM -- Centennial High School officials apologized Friday for not allowing students to leave classes featuring gay and lesbian panelists as part of the school's annual diversity week.
About two dozen parents complained to the school that their children were forced to listen to discussions on homosexuality without first obtaining their permission.
Several speakers from Vanguard Youth Services, a Portland organization that offers programs for sexual minority youth, visited the high school's English, drama and health classes Monday as part of the four-day diversity week.
Students who felt uncomfortable during class said they were not warned about the topics and wouldn't have attended had they known.
"We didn't set an appropriate staging for this issue to be addressed in a right way," Centennial Principal Curt Heath said Friday. "I'm not saying this shouldn't be covered, but it does not represent our curriculum.
"This is kind of new stuff that public schools shouldn't jump to. The issue is so political and reaches into the religious value systems of so many families."
School policy says administrators should review all guest speakers and their materials before they are allowed into the classroom, Heath said. If a topic is controversial, the school should notify parents and give students a choice not to attend.
But this year's lineup for diversity week was not reviewed, Health said, because a new coordinator didn't know about the policy....
Currently, the Oregon Citizens Alliance is collecting signatures for a ballot measure that would prevent public schools from teaching about sexual orientation....
"Parents should play a major role in what kids are exposed to and at least have an opportunity to talk to their children and voice their opinions on things that we feel are important in life," said John Nielson, whose daughter is a senior.
Nielson said that some parents, not including himself, are considering legal action against the school.
"When that's taken away from us, it's really a violation of our rights," Nielson said. "If they're going to disallow prayer or Boy Scouts at the other end of the spectrum, then they should certainly disallow this kind of baloney."
"Born gay." The idea that homosexuality is genetic, or at least biologically predetermined and unchangeable, has received a great amount of media coverage presenting it as "new scientific fact." What is often not known is that this "born gay" idea is not new, not proven, and frequently contradicted by what the researchers actually said. At least as far back as 1899, German researcher Magnus Hirschfeld regarded homosexuality as congenital - meaning, "born that way" - and he asked for legal equality based on this thinking.
Now, a century later, the idea that homosexual persons are born that way has again received a great amount of media attention. As new research studies were published, the popular press presented these as evidence that people are "born gay" and that sexual orientation is therefore unchangable. What has been quietly happening, though, is that the "science" behind this idea is falling apart. Here we briefly examine the three most cited studies, from Simon LeVay, Michael Bailey & Richard Pillard, and Dean Hamer.
That's all I want. We are getting a lot of stupid high school graduates lately. But at least they well versed in how to be good homosexuals if that's what they ewant to do... Ack!!!
A speech by a homosexual activist in 1995 revealed that he had used "safety" to delude Gov. Weld and the state legislature into adopting the homosexual agenda for the schools of Massachusetts. The speech was titled Winning the Culture War and was given by Kevin Jennings, Executive Director of the "Gay and Lesbian and Straight Teachers Network," at the "Human Rights Campaign Fund Leadership Conference" on March 5, 1995.
"If the Radical Right can succeed in portraying us as preying on children, we will lose. Their language promoting homosexuality is one example is laced with subtle and not-so-subtle innuendo that we are after their kids. We must learn from the abortion struggle, where the clever claiming of the term pro-life allowed those who opposed abortion on demand to frame the issue to their advantage, to make sure that we do not allow ourselves to be painted into a corner before the debate even begins.
"In Massachusetts the effective reframing of this issue was the key to the success of the Governors Commission on Gay and Lesbian Youth. We immediately seized upon the opponents calling card safety and explained how homophobia represents a threat to students safety by creating a climate where violence, name-calling, health problems, and suicide are common. Titling our report "Making Schools Safe for Gay and Lesbian Youth," we automatically threw our opponents onto the defensive and stole their best line of attack. This framing short-circuited their arguments and left them back-pedaling from day one.
"Finding the effective frame for your community is the key to victory. It must be linked to universal values that everyone in the community has in common.
"In Massachusetts, no one could speak up against our frame and say, Why, yes, I do think students should kill themselves: this allowed us to set the terms for the debate.
"In Massachusetts, we made creating an environment where youth could speak out our number one priority. We know that, confronted with real-live stories of youth who had suffered from homophobia, our opponents would have to attack people who had been victimized once, which put them in a bully position from which it would be hard to emerge looking good. More importantly, we made sure these youth met with elected officials so that, the next time these officials had to vote on something, there would be a specific face and story attached to the issue. We wanted them to have an actual kid in mind when they had to cast their votes. We won the vote in the Senate 33-7 as a result..."
"Schools should let their students know that the differences between the homosexual and heterosexual cultures are many and profound, contrary to assertions by homosexual advocacy groups who seek to portray homosexuality as something innate and essentially without risk, a leading psychological group said.
Indeed, a same-sex male couple rarely stays together if the partners are not open to permitting each other to have outside sexual contacts, the National Association for Research and Therapy of Homosexuality (NARTH) said in a recent mailing to 15,300 public school superintendents around the United States.
The mailing "seeks to correct the misinformation that is being promoted by these homosexual advocacy groups that have an incredible influence on the public education system," said Dr. Joseph Nicolosi, president of NARTH and a proponent of reparative therapy for homosexuals who want to change.
"What we're trying to say to school supervisors is, 'don't just rely on pro-gay information sources to make your decisions.' All our stuff is well grounded scientifically," he said. NARTH is a non-religious scientific organization whose 1,000 members include psychologists, psychiatrists and therapists..."
Lawmakers target 'homosexual agenda', by Tracy Schmaler, Vermont Press Bureau Rutland Herald, February 14, 2001:
"MONTPELIER - A group of lawmakers don't want Vermont teachers telling students it's OK to be gay.
Concerned that students in the state are being exposed to a dangerous message under the guise of tolerance and diversity, 32 House members proposed a bill Tuesday that would prohibit teachers and other school officials from "encouraging, promoting or sanctioning homosexual or bisexual conduct."
"The schools in the first place should not be getting up to talk about homosexual issues," said Rep. Nancy Sheltra, R-Derby, a leading opponent of civil unions and a chief sponsor of the measure. "It's an academic setting, there's no reason it should be discussed."
Sheltra and Rep. Carl Haas, R-Rutland City, are the lead sponsors of the proposal that has attracted the support of all of the Republicans in the Rutland City delegation. Other Rutland area legislators on the list of co-sponsors are Republican Reps. Kevin Mullin of Rutland Town, Joseph Baker of West Rutland, Robert Weeks of Wallingford and Robert Helm of Castleton.
The measure limits what school officials would be allowed to say in the classroom on the subject of homosexuality. "No employee or agent of a school district shall instruct, counsel or advise a student that a homosexual or bisexual orientation is innate or unchangeable," the bill states.
The bill does include provisions that would allow the discussion of homosexuality during lessons on AIDS education and human sexuality, as well as guidance counseling sessions as long as that instruction or counseling included "warnings about the serious health risk associated with such behavior," the bill said. The drafters also made note that the bill does not mean to limit a student's freedom of speech or association by regulating what school officials could say..
"I think the homosexual agenda uses issues like diversity and tolerance to get into the classroom," Sheltra said. "I strongly disapprove that children who are (questioning their sexuality) are not told that they can get counseling. I believe it's because of the agenda. These kids should be counseled that they can work through it, they can get help..."
"...Another resident with two children in the schools, Glen Parker, demanded to know why the superintendent spoke to the press before he ever spoke to parents. "As far as I'm concerned, I haven't gotten any answers," he said, adding that he was at the last meeting and was told, "I don't know," three times by Devine. "Now you are basically telling us that this curriculum is being eliminated, you're waving good-bye, and that's the end of it. It's not the end of it. There are certain policies that parents are very concerned about."
Parker continued by pointing out that Superintendent Devine said at both meetings that no graphic language was used in Hoyle's classroom, yet he said something different to the press. Parker said he spoke to several kids who were in Hoyle's class, who told him about inappropriate language that was used. He asked what kind of follow-up was done by administrators after they knew about the language use and after administrators knew "what the agenda of the teacher had to be, by looking at the workshop that she had been involved in at Tufts University. There's no other way I can explain it other than to say if it looks like a duck and walks like a duck, it must be a duck. I have nothing against Ms. Hoyle personally, but if she's promoting something that's offensive to me and the way I'm bringing up my children, then I have a right to know about it." "Where have any facts come up from Dr. Devine's 'investigation' to refute any of the allegations that were in [Massachusetts News]? We haven't heard one bit of evidence. They listed everything in detail that happened. All we got [from the school authorities] was that it was ... written by a right-wing nut who had an agenda. But nobody wanted to deal with the facts that were in the article, which scares me because nobody really wants to address the truth..."
"It was billed as, "A Response to Acushnet's Middle School Controversy." Two hundred letters were sent out by gay activists to surrounding schools, inviting administrators and teachers to attend....
However, the meeting held last night by the Unitarian Church at their church in Fairhaven, which is next to Acushnet, amounted to about 50 disgruntled gay activists and Unitarian supporters.
The only controversy of the evening erupted after this reporter announced he was from Massachusetts News and asked for a show of hands from any parents whose children attend Acushnet's middle school.
Only three hands shot up. A group of people sitting together began shouting, "Leave here!" "Get out!" "Hater!" An audience member stood to challenge the shouters, reminding them that they were preaching tolerance and respect only moments before. One of the shouters then rose from his seat and stormed out of the building grumbling about "hate." The moderator quickly retrieved the microphone from this reporter and said the question was not appropriate..."
Outlines the "significant medical and health risks" associated with what was taught to students at Fistgate.
"...As a practicing physician and member of the Physician Resource Council of the Massachusetts Family Institute, I object to information being presented to children and adolescents by educators intended to portray homosexuality as a healthy alternative lifestyle, while deliberately omitting or disregarding the significant medical and health risks inherent to homosexual sex and the gay lifestyle.
Under the rubric of diversity training, HIV prevention and "safer schools," the Massachusetts Department of Education has permitted the exposure of young students in public schools to sexually explicit, morally offensive, and medically risky material intended to encourage them to question, explore and expand their sexuality. These misguided efforts place young people at risk for the well known and sometimes life threatening consequences of homosexual sex and promiscuity, not the least of which are human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection and Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS)..."
Wilmington divided over sexuality item by Meggan Clark, Brattleboro Reformer, February 19, 2002
"WILMINGTON -- A town meeting article which would prohibit school employees from "encouraging, promoting or sanctioning homosexual conduct" has spurred a write-in campaign against one of the town selectmen who helped put it on the warning....
Duncan said Monday he asked the selectmen to put the question on the warning because "it was ... an opportunity to use one of the best vehicles for the purpose of gaining public opinion at town meeting."
He says he and several other parents in town are concerned that their children may be exposed at a very young age to sexually explicit materials that they're not emotionally mature enough to cope with, and that such an education may create more problems for children than it solves.
"It has absolutely nothing to do with acceptance or tolerance," he said. "It has to do with promoting a lifestyle that goes against what I would call the natural law of humanity in our schools." Duncan said that children who harass their peers for any reason -- from obesity to perceived homosexuality -- should be punished, but that children's questions about their sexuality should be dealt with in frank discussion with their parents, not in confidence with the guidance counselor....
"I don't think teachers should be telling their children to go to Outright Vermont and find out if they're homosexual or not," she said. "... We're stepping out on a limb when we decide we need to promote that kind of agenda in a classroom. We don't bring anybody into the schools to teach our kids to smoke or drink. Why would we bring someone into the school to promote a lifestyle that is proven to be very dangerous?"
She said that a guidance counselor approached by a student questioning his or her sexuality should contact the child's parents and let them know, "your daughter has come to me and said she's having these feelings," leaving further discussion to the parent and child..."
"...Kindergartners are learning about "homophobia" as lessons about alternative lifestyles and homosexuality appear in America's elementary schools -- often without parental knowledge....
But to Florida mother Jodi Hoffman, the results at the classroom level have been disastrous.
"Ninety-eight percent of parents out there have no idea what's going on in their schools," she says. "We know we've got a problem when they prosecute if you talk about God anywhere near a school, but it's OK to teach students that anal sex is an acceptable method of birth control." Mrs. Hoffman and her husband, Paul, have pulled their three children out of Broward County public schools and filed a class-action suit against the school board to stop what they call the board's promotion of homosexuality in sex education courses.
Among the Hoffmans' complaints: At one middle school, the school board allowed officials from a community organization to tell the children they would be lucky to be on the receiving end of oral sex and not to worry if their "cut-free" leg happened to be splashed with HIV-positive blood.
"I'm not a nut, I'm not a foaming religious right-winger or a fanatical bigot," Mrs. Hoffman says. "What I am is pro-parent and pro-family. I'm for my children. "Schools make the kids think about sex," she says. "When my daughter was 10, we opted her out of a sex education class and they put her in anyway."....
A Seattle school board member and official with the National School Boards' Association thinks third-graders are too young for a discussion of the pros and cons of homosexual marriage. "Third-graders should not be asked to contemplate something that deep and complex," says Michael Preston, chairman of the NSBA's Council of Urban Boards of Education. "I'm sure they should be allowed to marry, but I've come to that conclusion as an adult and it's not something I'd even care to think about as a third-grader."... "But you have to consider the age appropriateness of the subject matter. Young minds are sometimes like clay. We need to allow children to be children and not overly influence what they end up thinking about something."
In Montpelier, Vt., Joel and Felicity Bachman became upset when their daughter's high school sociology class was given materials that encouraged kids lacking in self-confidence to have sex with someone of the opposite gender to "build up their pleasure-giving abilities." "She also read that 'two lesbians make a more nurturing relationship than a heterosexual couple' because women are naturally more nurturing," the Bachmans say. At an unannounced school assembly, students were presented with a panel of all gays, lesbians and bisexuals who talked about how happy, healthy and productive they are. "Our daughter tells us that the 'in' thing at her high school now, if you're a girl, is to 'be' a lesbian," the Bachmans report in an e-mail posting. "If you show any sign of feeling anything but joy at the sight, you're homophobic."
One of the teachers videotaped in "It's Elementary" says that "even if you are against the lifestyle, it still needs to be addressed." Another teacher says she "has a problem" with parents who opt to take their children out of discussions of homosexuality. "You hear so many different things, the school needs to give us the facts so we can decide on our own," one eighth-grade girl concludes on the video..."
"Why Don't They Tell The TRUTH At School About Homosexuality?....
What You Can Do To Stop The Promotion Of Homosexuality In Our Schools....
How We Got Here
Revolutions dont happen overnight. Homosexuality is being widely accepted in schools now by administrators, school boards and some parents and students because of diligent, aggressive people who believe its okay. Some work for large, well-financed national "gay" activist groups; others are local volunteers. Some are practicing homosexuals who are educators; others are their relatives or sympathizers.
Regardless, this process has happened because traditional-minded parents and communities werent watching closely enough, and many thought supporting homosexuality was part of being kind, compassionate and tolerant. Most people never thought it would get this far.
But it has gotten very far. When the facts are laid before average Americans, most are incredulous. Its gone way beyond being civil and nice to people who are "different," as the activists claim. Its at the point where school lessons portraying typical married parents with children are considered discriminatory in some communities. Its at the point of defending the "rights" of students and teachers to be transvestites (cross-dressers). Entire school days or weeks are devoted in some schools to "celebrating" homosexuality-and all students must participate.
Its at the point where traditional-minded parents and students can seldom voice objections. Why are people being silenced?..."
"Are You Worried about Your Children or Grandchildren?
You aren't alone. Most adults today are concerned, even alarmed about the moral depravity of the youth culture It's becoming more and more difficult to raise children to become adults who have character, when the world all around them beckons toward a dark abyss of self-indulgence and addiction..."
(There is also a Students/Teens section on this web site)
"...This year's conference theme, "Ending the Hate Beginning in School," highlights GLSEN's contention that teaching pro-homosexual lessons to young schoolchildren is an appropriate way to combat "homophobia" and "hatred" directed at homosexuals. But critics like Peter LaBarbera of the Americans for Truth Project, who led a pro-family coalition protesting the conference, said GLSEN's elementary school agenda "manipulates the minds of impressionable children."...
"While we have been preoccupied with the dangers posed to our children by inanimate objects, namely guns, they were under a much more dangerous assault from animate objects, namely psychologists and psychiatrists...
Homosexuals are advancing a dangerous agenda, using the forces of government, the media, public schools and pseudo science as battering rams to break down traditional family values. They are mutilating the concept of Christian love by defining it as a moral imperative to embrace human depravity and tolerate wickedness.
Here are a few of the elements of the homosexual agenda: the right to marry someone of the same sex; the right to adopt and raise children; the repeal of sodomy laws; the enactment of hate-crime laws making crime against them more significant than crime against heterosexuals; affirmative-action status that gives them special protections against the attitudes of others; a special affirmative-action program for AIDS; a lowered age for legal consent of sexual behavior; access to the Boy Scouts of America; the pro-homosexual indoctrination of school children; and validation from every man, woman, child and institution in America that their flaws are virtues.
The homosexual community is consolidating its gains and expanding its purple umbrella to provide cover for other sexual disorientations such as transsexuals, transvestites and bisexuals. Are pedophiles next? Where does it end?
It is said that morality is about drawing lines between what is acceptable and what is not. It is time for some serious line-drawing in America."
"... Following in the destructive wake of such social infirmities comes yet another commotion that over the issue of sexual orientation. Homosexual activists have largely spent the 1990s manufacturing intense confusion about the cause and nature of their lifestyle.
What is the effect on children and teenagers when they are surrounded by a message that not only defends homosexuality as normal, natural and healthy, but recommends it as a sexual taste? Are young people being recruited into the homosexual lifestyle?
Confusing impressionable minds
Even in the best of times, young people very often find themselves confused about many issues not the least of which is sex. Whether it is part of the normal adolescent journey to sexual identity or a spin-off effect of the current debate over homosexuality, some young people do question whether or not they are heterosexual...
Obviously, this early period of confusion is a critical time for young people. But the resulting confusion created by homosexuals about sexual orientation adds to the sexual confusion of young people. And even more insidious is the manner in which homosexual activists take advantage of this confusion by enthusiastically encouraging young people to experiment with homosexuality.
In Northboro, Massachusetts, for example, parents of freshmen were stunned to discover that their kids had been invited by their high school history teacher to try homosexuality. History teacher Douglas Matthews an advisor to the school's "gay-straight" student alliance handed out a questionnaire that asked, "If you've never slept with a person of the same sex and enjoyed it, is it possible that all you need is a good gay lover?"
Homosexual porn via the classroom?
It may shock parents to learn that the nation's public school system is being used by homosexual activists as a conduit, herding confused children into the homosexual community. Under the guise of protecting homosexual teens, young people are given unrestricted access to homosexual groups. Once channeled there, however, there is no limit to the depths of same-sex debauchery to which teens may be exposed..."
IMHO, the inroads of the homosexuals are going to lead to bloodshed at some point.
"You can forget trying to persuade the masses that homosexuality is a good thing. But if only you can get them to think that it is just another thing, with a shrug of their shoulders, then your battle for legal and social rights is virtually won." So wrote Marshall K. Kirk and Erastes Pill in Guide magazine, November 1987.
All too often, that battle, promulgated by homosexual activists, is being waged and won in area schools, according to veteran educator Dick Carpenter, Focus on the Familys education policy analyst.
Carpenter told the crowd at a recent "Love Won Out" conference in Charlotte that schools across America are being flooded with literature, videos, and testimonials advocating the pro-homosexual perspective in public education... He said the pro-homosexual agenda has so invaded curricula that teachers are often forced to teach things with which they disagree or know to be false. And often, if they resist, they are labeled as "hate-mongers" or "homophobes." Using information from The Overhauling of Straight America, Carpenter revealed the tactics of homosexual activists who, he said, had gone to great lengths to spread inaccurate data in an attempt to portray homosexuals as victims and help give protectors a just cause.
He said homosexual organizations such as GLSEN (Gay Lesbian Straight Education Network) get a stronghold on school systems by volunteering to educate school officials about the need to pass non-discrimination policies in schools, to train teachers to prevent "anti-gay" name calling and to serve as community resources on sexual-orientation issues.
Once inside the door, activists proclaim myths about homosexuality as fact, encourage homosexual teachers to come out of the closet, and start as many Gay Straight Alliances as possible. These GSAs, billed as student clubs that help kids discuss sexuality issues, are in fact just another avenue for homosexual propaganda, Carpenter said.
He said activists also work to change district policies, sometimes in the name of safe schools, to offer specific protection to homosexuals, making it possible for the schools to quell all opposition to the lifestyle.
So what can parents do to keep their children from homosexual influences in school? Plenty, Carpenter said, beginning with talking with your child to make sure he gets information about sexuality from you and does not have to rely on his peers.
In addition, he suggested that parents get involved with what is happening at the school through volunteerism, talking with school leaders, etc., and that they take time to review curriculum or resources being used in class..."
"On April 10, homosexual activists and their supporters will hold "Day of Silence" events on high school and college campuses throughout the country, sponsored by GLSEN, the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network.(For more details, see www.dayofsilence.org.) It will be a silent vigil and the usual victimhood and "gay" rights claims. Participants will hand out material promoting homosexuality, bisexuality and cross-dressing.
How would you like to hold a counter-event the same day? We are calling it the Truth Without Interruption Day! Finally - a chance to get a word in edgewise!
If you'd like to organize one at your school, see below. You'll find links to: Talking Points (feel free to print this off and hand out); Tips for Organizing a TWID event; and a sample news release.
A list of the high schools that have registered with GLSEN to hold DOS events is at the end. If your school does not appear, it doesn't necessarily mean they aren't having a pro-homosexual Day of Silence event. Conversely, if it is listed, the administration may not have been told about it yet, or may claim no knowledge. The best advice is to check with your school newspaper and ask around - the word on the street is your best informant.
It's pretty simple - you just need people and some motivation! Godspeed to all you truth-tellers!
Youth Advisory Project
Legal advice and assistance for pro-family public school students
PO Box 3691, Citrus Heights CA 95610
"The Youth Advisiory Project provides free legal advice and assistance to pro-family students in public schools. This letter addresses the growing problem of politically correct censorship of pro-family and conservative speech and explains your rights and options as a pro-family or conservative high school student.
Advisory Letter #1:
Freedom of Speech vs. Political Correctness on the High School Campus
To California Public School Students:
Censorship is government suppression of individual speech and it comes in many forms. In years past, government censors banned certain books and movies. Today, there is a new and growing form of censorship in California public schools called political correctness.
Political correctness is a kind of secular moral code which takes sides on many controversial issues such as abortion and homosexuality and then declares its views to be morally right and the opposing views to be morally wrong. For example, political correctness defines approval of homosexuality as morally right and disapproval of homosexuality as morally wrong, even disordered (i.e. homophobic).
School-based political correctness imposes a pro-abortion, pro-homosexual, anti-religious morality on students and discourages views that oppose abortion, homosexuality, the theory of evolution and other government-favored positions on controversial issues. Politically correct textbooks and classroom instruction teach a biased view of these issues and therefore indoctrinate young people in the correct perspective, robbing them of the right to hear all points of view and make informed choices for themselves.
Students who do not conform to political correctness often feel left-out, looked down-upon, even scorned by advocates of the politically correct views. Students who have a traditional view of family and sexual relationships sometimes face outright discrimination because they dare to challenge politically correct dogma.
An attempt to silence non-politically-correct views is bad enough when it comes from other students. But when it comes from school officials, it may very well be an illegal violation of your Constitutional rights. Attorneys associated with the Youth Advisory Project will help you defend those rights.
1) You have the right to speak your opinion and engage in persuasive argument about any issue that is discussed in schools, without fear of discrimination, retaliation or punishment.
2) You have the right to disagree with, question and to dispute political correctness in textbooks, classroom instruction, and official school policies.
3) You have the right to invite speakers into your school to present your side of the issues to the same extent as students with politically correct views.
4) You have the right to form pro-family student clubs and to have access to school facilities and resources to the same extent as every other non-curricular club.
At this time, the Youth Advisory Project is most interested in supporting student-initiated pro-family clubs to counter pro-homosexual clubs being started in many California schools. If you are a pro-family conservative student who desires to form such a club, we want to help. We are also prepared to assist you in asserting and defending your Constitutional rights related to pro-family issues on the high school campus.
For legal advice and assistance in starting a pro-family student club, or to defend your basic rights in the public school, please contact one of the attorneys or legal organizations listed below..."
"When Linda Wall found out what was being taught in many U.S. schools about homosexuality, she was not only shocked and saddened, she was angry. A former lesbian and a former teacher, she knew she couldnt sit back and let it happen, especially in her home state of Virginia.
"One night I was surfing the Web and saw an article that said AT&T sends pro-homosexual video to middle schools'," Wall said. "I kept looking and found 13 pages of pro-homosexual library books being put in the schools. I sat there and thought, is this happening in the whole country?"
"I cant let this happen. They cannot be seducing children into what I was seduced into," Wall said...
She has already heard about a number of cases where children, without parents consent, were introduced to homosexuality as a normal and acceptable lifestyle. One involved a homework assignment showing families with two women and a child and two men and a child.
"One of their techniques is to redefine the word family'," Wall said of those promoting the homosexual agenda. "They are piggy-backing on diversity, trying to equate a behavior with culture."
In another situation, a 16-year-old girl who was questioning her sexual identity was referred, by her school counselor and without her parents knowledge, to the organization Parents and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG).
Counselors are being trained to send the kids in that direction," Wall said. "Homosexuality is being endorsed and promoted with wrong statistics and misinformation, and no alternative is being offered."...
When I started investigating this thing, I saw that there was definitely an agenda out there to indoctrinate children into homosexuality, Wall said. She said while she has often found parents who are upset by incidents in the schools, many of them are afraid or embarrassed to speak out, or else have tried but have been treated so poorly by school officials that they do not pursue it any further.
"One parent called me to say that they were adding oral sex to the curriculum at her childs school," Wall said. "They had questioned administrators about it, but were told that so many kids were doing it that they had to add it to the curriculum. The parents were made to feel so humiliated that they didnt go any further with it."
As in many states, in Virginia each school district has a lot of leeway regarding curriculum, which is one reason Wall and other pro-family activists are looking to pass a state law preventing the promotion of homosexuality in the classroom.
She is calling on parents to get involved and find out what is being taught at their childrens schools and then be willing to speak out if it is not acceptable.
"In 1993, the chant of homosexuals during the Washington Gay Pride Parade was Were queer, were here, and were coming after your children," Wall said. "And thats exactly what is going on in our schools. There is no gay gene, people arent born homosexuals, so the only way to get people in the lifestyle is to recruit them. Thats how you spread your agenda."
Still, she believes the battle can be won. "If we get enough parents involved, we will do it in Virginia. Then well challenge every state in the country to follow suit."...
"I was reading a news story from WorldNetDaily entitled, 'Lawmakers 'Sanction' Use of District-Approved 'Porn'. My stomach turned, as yours surely will. But, don't spare yourself. You need to know about this, because it is coming your way.
"Instructional materials on homosexual sodomy and a glorified account of lesbian pedophilia" have been approved by none other than the Los Angeles Unified School District and backed up by the wicked California Assembly.
The "materials" are being used in "diversity" and "safety" programs from elementary to high school. In fact, the program's instructors are even referring students to the porn shops where the "materials" can be purchased. They are referring them to porn sites on the Internet, so the students can choose the sort of homosexual or lesbian pornography they are most interested in.
Dad to son: "Say, Junior, isn't that pornography you're looking at on the Internet?"
Son to dad: "No, dude, school project, man."
Dad to son: "Cool. But... isn't that a guy?"
Son to dad: "Yeah, man, dig it."
Dad to son (head tilting sideways): "Well, uh, do your best son."
Holy smokes, Batman, what is this world coming to? Ruination comes to mind. My husband and I saw this coming. You see, we "served" 5 years in Central California. And then, Praise God, we were able to flee the state.
While living in California, we were subjected to the public school system - A double whammy. We were there when they passed the law that required schools to begin "sexual orientation tolerance" programs. Before we left the state, I had to review the "innocent" sex education film for our 4th grade son.
Parents were allowed (how kind of them!) to pull their child from the program if they chose. They could come view the videos, etc. I went to the - for lack of a better word - "showing," but we ended up not allowing our son to participate in the program. We knew about the "agenda" they were planning to implement into the system. It's called "tolerance." Of course, at the "showing," the program seemed innocent. But now, as we feared - not even a year later - they are approving homosexual and lesbian smut for the children to learn "tolerance" and "diversity." Oh, please, I am going to be sick right here!
The 'agenda' is even worse than what is in the WorldNetDaily article. The homosexual forces, inside the public education system, are planning field trips to gay parades, homosexual guest speakers and 'one-on-one' counseling, for kids to talk about their "hidden" feelings, concerning their sexual orientation. We suppose that the districts will simply "push the envelope" and the fruity California Assembly will rubberstamp it.
Assemblyman Dennis Mountjoy, R-Monrovia was quoted in the WorldNetDaily article, "The material is being put forward under the guise of tolerance and diversity, but it's inappropriate. It's lewd and lascivious ..."
Well thanks, guy, but anyone in their right mind knows that homosexual and lesbian handbooks do not belong in school, they belong in the back corner of a smut shop. Hey, these days, the kids don't even belong in public school, as my husband and I found out the hard way (Which brings up the issue of home schooling. Our decision to home school our children was made during our internment in California, so we have at least one thing to thank the state for)..."
This subject just BLOWS me away!
If my kids were of school age and were subjected to this crap, I would be out of my mind with rage.
I grew up in a Catholic environment.....Not safe there either, huh?
Thanks Freepers for letting me vent!
"Smut magazines are characterized by graphic sex, abundant profanity, homosexual content and extreme violence and so are some of the books children are encouraged to read in school.
You think I'm making this up, right?
Involved parents who took the time to take a look at their child's literature materials have provided us with a prime example of just how bad public education can be. They've also provided us with a message of how diligent parents must be if they choose to send their kids to public schools.
Parents of students in a ninth-grade class at Colusa High School in California looked over a few of the books the teacher had encouraged her students to read what the parents found mortified them in a way they will never forget. Although repugnant and offensive, I'll provide a few examples as evidence that it's time for society to say, "Houston, we have a problem."
In the book "Way Past Cool," by Jesse Mowry, one need only get to page 4 for the first of many uses of the term "motherf-----," that show up throughout this literature book recommended by the American Library Association. The racially derogatory terms "ni--er" and "ni--erboy" are used, and pages are filled with detailed, graphic descriptions of sexual acts between teens. In honor of decency, there is no way I can give you word-for-word examples in my column but if you doubt the nature of the book, and have a strong stomach go to the library and read pages 184-185, and 187. You'll find enough there to enrage even the biggest skeptic.
In "The Perks of Being a Wallflower," by Stephen Chbosky, a sexual act between fourth graders is described, as well as sex between teens on a golf course. If you care to see what the 14-year-olds were exposed to at the recommendation of their teacher, pages 30, 31 and 44, 45 will provide you with the general sickening idea...."
God I sure hope so. GLSEN doesn't want tolerance they want everyone to be homosexual. Anyone not on their path is wrong and needs to be "converted". I pray hard for these people, they need salvation soon.
According to the Bible you need 10:
And he said, Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak yet but this once: Peradventure ten shall be found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for ten's sake. (Genesis, 18:32)
Wrong. They haven't forgotten it. They are counting on it and exploiting it.
All the more reason for parents to pay attention and speak up.
Unbeknownst to parents, my sixth-grader and his class spent an hour practicing how to put condoms on bananas.
Whatever parents think is going on in public schools, it's actually ten times worse.
SACRAMENTO -- Parents who do not want their children to participate in activities and discussions relating to homosexuality -- which are now authorized by law to take place in California public schools -- have found other laws to back up their position, thanks to a legal group's "Parental Opt Out Program."
Sponsored by the Pacific Justice Institute, a non-profit legal defense organization headquartered near the state's Capitol, the program provides a free standard opt-out form to parents wishing to ensure their children are not exposed to the effects of two new laws. As reported by WorldNetDaily, children attending California government schools will now be taught explicitly to avoid "discriminatory attitudes and practices" toward homosexuals in accordance with two new laws that fund revised curriculum and broad, unspecified "tolerance" programs.
The Pacific Justice Institute's form cites four sections of the state's education code that allow parents to "opt" their children out of participation in programs and instruction generated as a result of the new laws, as well as previously existing programs. In addition, PJI is offering free emergency legal counsel to all parents either having questions about the form or facing these controversial school activities.
Specifically, the form refers to sections 51240, 51550, 51553 and 51554 of the education code, which state parents may require the school to obtain express, written permission from them before teaching their children anything related to sexuality, family life or similar topics.
Section 51554 states: "Unless a pupil's parent or guardian has been sent written notification ... a pupil shall not receive instruction on sexually transmitted diseases, AIDS, human sexuality, or family life that is delivered by an outside organization or guest speakers brought in specifically to provide that instruction, whether the guest speakers are brought in to lecture, distribute information, show a videotape, act out, conduct an activity involving pupil participation, or provide audio material on these subjects. Notification sent pursuant to this section shall include the date of the instruction, the name of the organization or affiliation of each guest speaker, and information stating the parent's or guardian's right to request a copy of Sections 51201.5 and 51553, related to AIDS prevention instruction."
Additionally, section 51240 provides a specific option for parents with religious convictions about sexuality issues. "Whenever any part of the instruction in health, family life education, and sex education conflicts with the religious training and beliefs of the parent or guardian of any pupil, the pupil, on written request of the parent or guardian, shall be excused from the part of the training which conflicts with such religious training and beliefs," the statute reads. "As used in this section, 'religious training and beliefs' includes personal moral convictions."
By providing their children's schools with a signed copy of the form, parents assert their legal rights as spelled out in the education code. But California parents aren't the only ones who can take advantage of PJI's program, which also includes a more generic form for families outside of California.
"Parents in and out of California should feel free to contact us for a form," said PJI's president Brad Dacus. "The stakes are too high for any parent to slough off this time-crucial response to protect their children."
Dacus indicated the program has a sense of urgency, saying, "The spreading of homosexual propaganda in public schools is much broader, not just in California, but outside of California as well, courtesy of institutions such as the NEA -- the National Education Association." He added: "The homosexual agenda has also aggressively expanded into not just high schools, but now into elementary schools where children have a hard time distinguishing between the terms 'tolerance' and 'acceptance,' which will not only have a chilling effect on children holding fast and willing to share their faith, but also actually changing their psyche, impacting how they address their own sensitive, personal gender-identity issues in early adolescence. It's not a secret that every child, particularly male children, in early adolescence has a tough battle working through their gender identity as they approach manhood. So it has extremely serious ramifications to children who will use this propaganda for the rest of their lives and shorten their lifespan in the process."
"Parents know where their children are at and know what their children are ready for and are best able to address these moral, religious and lifestyle needs," Dacus remarked. "This issue is so important that we have been working with other pro-family organizations and attorneys to ensure that all the materials necessary are included in the opt-out forms provided for parents," he added.
Homosexual activist groups are pleased with the new curriculum laws. One group, the P.E.R.S.O.N. Project, has the two bills listed on its website as victories in its year-end legislative wrap-up. According to its online brochure, "The P.E.R.S.O.N. Project is an informal, national network of organizations and individuals working to ensure that fair, accurate, and unbiased information regarding lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people and about the nature and diversity of sexual orientation is presented to America's youth as part of public school education."
The group has set out to ensure that elementary and secondary curricula include specifics about homosexuals, including "information about the historical and continuing contributions of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people to art, language, education, science, sport, etc." and "discussion of the LGBT liberation movement and the history of the struggle for equality for sexual minorities in the United States and throughout the world."
The group is also working to get historical homosexual events written into history books, such as "the National Marches on Washington for Lesbian and Gay Rights in 1979, 1987, and 1993; the Stonewall Resistance of 1969 and its 25th Anniversary commemoration in 1994, and the struggle for privacy and civil rights via the courts, (e.g. Bowers v. Hardwick, the Gay Olympics case, and the cases having to do with the rights of LGBT people to serve in the Armed Forces and to be recognized legally as parents)."
While issues of historical significance are not necessarily being disputed by parents opposed to the new laws, active promotion of the homosexual lifestyle as socially acceptable is under fire.
"Without question, California is a pluralistic state with parents having a wide range of values regarding what is best for their children," said Dacus. "It is our goal to ensure that the public school districts in this state will still respect such diversity in view of these controversial laws."
Parents wishing to order a copy of the opt-out form can do so by contacting the Pacific Justice Institute toll-free at 888-305-9129.
"Programs to teach tolerance in public schools are actually being used to promote and encourage homosexuality, conservative activists said in a Capitol Hill briefing yesterday.
"Homosexual activists have hijacked our schools," California activist Karen Holgate said at the seminar sponsored by Concerned Women for America (CWA), a Washington-based Christian conservative group. "If we don't take a stand, we're going to lose this battle."
By adding the terms "gender" and "sexual orientation" to anti-discrimination laws, Mrs. Holgate said, California legislators have enabled that state's public schools to promote the acceptance of homosexuality "as normal, positive and healthy."
That agenda now begins in elementary grades, where a theater group performs pro-homosexual skits including one about a boy who wears a skirt and talks about being a "queen" in California schools for children as young as second grade.
Public schools across the country are adopting similar programs, said Robert H. Knight, director of CWA's Culture and Family Institute.
"Homosexual activists are using the idea of 'safe schools' and 'anti-bullying' campaigns to bring their pro-homosexual message into the schools," Mr. Knight told a standing-room-only crowd at the Rayburn House Office Building.
Sex education programs have been "continually redesigned to introduce children to sex at younger and younger ages," Mr. Knight said. "They are now entering the final step of the campaign, which is to openly promote acceptance of homosexuality even among the youngest children."
Mr. Knight cited the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN), with a $3.5 million annual budget and more than 1,200 members whose mission, he said, "is to promote homosexuality in the schools under any guise that works."
He said the largest teachers' union, the National Education Association, has adopted many of the pro-homosexual positions advocated by GLSEN.
On its Web site (www.glsen.org), GLSEN declares that "homophobia and sexism undermine a healthy school climate," and states its aim of educating "teachers, students and the public at large about the damaging effects these forces have on youth and adults alike." The New York-based group recently launched a campaign against "institutionalized heterosexism" in schools.
In a teaching manual called "Tackling Gay Issues in School," GLSEN supplies teachers wih model lesson plans that condemn religious beliefs against homosexuality as "homophobia" and that label such beliefs "false."
One lesson plan in the GLSEN manual says middle-schoolers "should have the freedom to explore our sexual orientation and find our own unique expression of lesbian, bisexual, gay, straight, or any combination of these."
At a GLSEN conference in Boston in March, one seminar titled "Gender in the Early Childhood Classroom" discussed strategies to "set the tone for nontraditional gender role play" for pre-schoolers, while a panel of elementary school teachers talked about using "teachable moments as a means of addressing LGBT [lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender] issues and gender identity in the classroom."
GLSEN did not respond to repeated requests for comment from The Washington Times.
GLSEN describes as "disturbing" the claims of religious groups that homosexuals can change their behavior. An evangelist who spoke at yesterday's seminar challenged the GLSEN position.
"No one is born homosexual," said Stephen Bennett, a Connecticut man who spent 10 years as an active homosexual but is now married and father to two children.
"We should not be encouraging kids to embrace a homosexual agenda," Mr. Bennett said. "It's a very unloving thing GLSEN and these other homosexual groups are doing."
Parents, if you will use the Hatch Letter to demand that your child be educated and not made into a social engineering test pieces and teach them the Decalration of independence and Constitution, along with the weekly sermons found on the home page, your child will be prepared to take our country back!
The above long sentence is due to my having gone to a public school. Had I been homeschooled, I would have made the sentence more correct, if not perfect!
Following is the Hatch Amendment letter, this letter is designed to guarantee that parents can and do maintain the right to determine their child's educational path. We have done the letter on a white background with black letters in order to better enable you to copy it.
We suggest that you copy it to your word processor program, add the pertinent data, such as name, school etc. make and print four copies. One for the teacher, one for the principal, one for the superintendent of schools and one for yourself. These are best delivered in person. Be polite, but be firm! This is your child, not theirs God gave you the responsibility of raising that child (Proverbs 22:6 Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it. (NIV)), not the schools and it is you that God will hold accountable for that child He has entrusted to you!
