Lieberman still open to Republican candidacy

LIEberman doesn't owe the RAT party a single thing, he was re-elected as an Independent (well, technically under the "Connecticut for Lieberman" Party). He defeated the "official" Democrat Party candidate. Yet "independent" Lieberman STILL votes with the RAT party over 90% of the time. Where's the independence? This guy is too much of an orthodox socialist to call himself Independent, let alone Republican.

If LIEberman wants to be a hard core socialist then he run under the party banner that has a socialist platform. If the RATs don't want one of their own, tough luck. Find another socialist party like the Greens. The GOP doesn't need more liberals. If Lieberman runs as a "Republican" we should do everything possible to defeat him in the primary. As Impy noted, LIEberman is the left of abortion-luving cap n' traitor Mark Kirk. Hell, LIEberman is to the left of half a dozen card-carrying "official" Democrat Senators like Robert "KKK" Byrd and Mary Laudrieu. They have much higher lifetime ACU ratings than him.

Here's my advice to Senator LIEberman:

Joe, if you're thinking about running as a Republican you might start by supporting Republicans on anything remotely conservative. Hey Joe, you wouldn't even have to join the party if he wanted to caucus with the Republicans and vote for a Republican Majority Leader, but you've refused to do so. Why consider joining the GOP after six years of being a so-called "Independant" who supports the Dems on every issue?

Sorry, Joe, the last thing the GOP needs right now is another DIABLO. It's not our problem that your party refuses to nominate people who agree with them 95% of the time. Cry me a river.

Joe needs the apparatus to support his next run, which is a mere year and a half away. He lost in the 2006 primary to Ned Lamont 52/48, and won the general by picking up a 1 and a half percent, finishing with under 50 percent of the CT popular vote in a field split five ways.
