It would only be the second time if I did it... If you look at the way this field is shaping up, you've got Bachmann, you have Palin, Christie, Trump, any number of people here that you could coalesce behind... If there's nobody in the field that I am jazzed about, which is entirely possible, if there's nobody in the field, what I'm gonna have to do then is say, okay, this election had better be about Obama, and I think it ought to be anyway. This election should be all about Obama because, frankly, I would vote for Elmer Fudd than Obama. I would vote for whoever the Republicans nominate. ... I'm suggesting to you that it is entirely possible a loser candidate will get the nomination. That's what I'm telling you. It has to be about Obama, it has to be. That's what all this is about. It has to be about Obama. We can't handle four more years of this. What do you mean, if it's you-know-who? Who the hell is you-know-who? ...regardless what it is, the election has to be about Obama, it's got to be. That's the only logical thing anyway. We have got to stop this, even if it's a stopgap, Elmer Fudd, I don't care, pick a name... Saving the country is about getting rid of Obama, and I'm telling you, you guys are not hearing me. You're not hearing me because you don't want to face the truth. The truth is, the sad reality is we may end up with Milquetoast as a nominee. We still have to get rid of Obama, in which case it has to be, the election has to be about Obama. It has to be... Whoever in this field takes it to Obama the straightest, the hardest, and the most direct is who's gonna win...
I'm beginning to warm up to the idea of a Palin/West ticket. My only concern with West, is that he's only just been elected to Congress. I wish like hell that he'd already served at least one full term in the House.
That said, I'm beginning to like the dynamics that ticket offers. Talk about having a bulldog for your VP. I can think of no one better to fill that fire-breathing role for Sarah.
Who knows - he might even swing a few minority votes Sarah's way, or get some Independents to jump off the fence to the right.
Considering his MILITARY service, I think he has served this country far better than any congress critter who has served itself in congress for years. And I would bet that most Conservatives feel exactly the same way. The man has already walked the walk.
He certainly has, and he's got more patriotism in his little finger, than the rest of the Republican presidential hopefuls (with the exception of Bachmann), combined.
It's not often that I suddenly feel that I've gotten a peak into the brilliant inner workings of Sarah's political mind, but now that I look at this closely, I almost can't imagine a better choice of running mate for her. He's exactly the sort of unconventional, and ultimately masterful choice she would make.

I don’t know if Herman would serve more than one term, leaving Palin to run for the top spot in 2016.
As of right now, for me, the field is Sarah Palin, Herman Cain, and Everyone Else.
Although . . . Cain/West would really blow people’s minds, wouldn’t it?

I think the Milquetoast = Romney. I refuse to vote for Milquetoast. I am voting for Sarah Palin. If her name is not on the ballot, then I will write it in.

I’m with you. Anything less than Palin is Milquetoast. When in hell is the Republican party going to realize, you don’t get along with dims - you defeat the bastards!!!!
I think Rush should husband his endorsement to draw out the real conservatives. Top four I’m interested in: Palin, West, Bachman, Cain (no particular order). The other names being bandied about fade into the RINO also-rans.
And the same goes for their media whores!!!

I don't understand why anyone would choose a little-known businessman over an experienced, popular, and successful governor, for the office of president.
Herman Cain has the right conservative credentials, but he doesn't stand a chance of winning the primary. The road to the White House in 2012 leads through the governor's mansion, not the corporate board room.
America elected Barack Obama during a peculiar moment that was perfect for someone of his inexperience, thin resume, but with his Hollywood star power and promise. The stars aligned just right, and America rolled the dice. It won't happen again in our lifetimes.
After the destruction that Obama et al have delivered upon us, the nation is going to revert to form, and demand some honest experience and public sector leadership credentials from the next president.
Our choices for 2012 will boil down to the ex-governors. Everyone else will be an also-ran. Look in that field, and there is only one person we can possibly choose for our nominee.
I love Rush and never miss him but the fact is he has gone the same route as many conservatives—
Given Sarah Palin as a godsend candidate, a for-real conservative with absolute celebrity status (a MUST when running against a celebrity), he backs down when push comes to shove.
I wonder if Rush spoke up for Reagan in 1976 or even 1980 BEFORE he won the nomination. I really wonder.
In any case, it’s all very disappointing and we’re probably gonna end up with Bill Scranton, um, I mean Tim Pawlenty nominated by the Repukes, who will lose 48 states in 2012.
Ryan needs to be where he is, just like Kasich needed to be where he was and for the same reasons. If we are ever going to have a stable economy again, we need the same perserverance that Kasich showed. It paid off.

Don’t be. Palin won’t run for VP again. Only incumbent VPs do that.
