Preston Brittain has called Gloria Tinubu to concede the Democratic runoff for the 7th Congressional District.
Meanwhile, in the Republican runoff, Tom Rice has won over Andre Bauer, who held the highest percentage 2 weeks ago in the primary, WBTW has projected.
With 90 percent of the precincts reporting, Rice was ahead by a generous margin and WBTW called the race for Rice just before 9 pm.
Rice held 15,121 votes or 56 percent while Bauer had 11,758 votes or 44 percent
This sets up a Tinubu-Rice match-up in the November election.

Excellent news in South Carolina. So far, 2/3 of Rice’s victory is coming from his home of Horry County, where he serves as County Councilman.

No comeback for Andre.
Ehhh... wasn’t crazy about either one.
Tom Rice is a stale bread moderate but a nice guy. Bauer is shady but hard working.
Turnout was just awful though. No one was excited about this race a few weeks ago in the primary, much less the runoff.
Bauer goes down. Another RINO out of the way. Good going Jim Rice!

EXCELLENT! RINO FAIL!!!!
An enormous relief. Bauer is a weasel.
Something’s just not right about Andre.
I was glad to see Bauer lost because I think he had bigger plans for the future.....I believe he was/is eyeing the US Senate seat up in 2014.
